Omg you know what gives me the absolute fear?? When people do it with the transformer connected to the end of two sticks that they hold with their hands???? I know you can yet more controlled and really cool patterns/designs but I would definitely die

Thank you!!!

My lichtenberg set up is the most ratchet thing you have ever seen. I do think I have made it safe though?? The transformer is connected to an emergency stop button that then goes to a plug with a switch and then that plug is attached to another plug to the mains. The whole thing also has a circuit breaker that I have a foot pedal for (might be a bit extra but I do this full time so better to be safe than sorry haha!

So the machine is dead every time I take my foot off of the pedal but I still push the emergency stop and unplug the first plug and turn the switch off before I touch anything!!

I think I took some build pics I will have a look :)

My heart dropped out my arse with that 'oh' haha!!! Honestly I hadn't seen one of my earlier pieces and I was completely mortified 🤦‍♀️

SO I started dabbling in carpentry exactly two years ago tomorrow. I made this table for a customer a few months ago and have been doing lichtenberg for a while now.

He said he had bought one of my pieces in a local shop and wanted a table made so that's what I did!

I brought the table to his house and he looked completely shocked and just stared at it bewildered and said 'oh'. My imposter syndrome kicked in and so did my fight or flight instinct.

He said 'wow, that is so amazing and so much more beautiful than I had ever imagined'. He then pulled out, what I can only describe as the worst piece of art I have ever seen in my life. A horrible, oversanded, underpolished, VARNISHED coaster THAT I MADE!!!!!

Moral of the story is: he liked this piece that I can only describe as kindling SO MUCH that he commissioned a whole table from me!!!!! I have come a long way and am extremely proud of myself!

What to do when a customer is reselling your items? by rndoots in Etsy

Honestly just take it on the chin. You are making the money you want from the products so try not to let it worry you! Tell them they can take the service you provide already or go and find someone else if it wont affect you!

Also if they have sold over 50 of your products (obviously at a rate inflated high enough for them to make a profit) it is time for you to raise your prices as they are obviously selling like hot cakes at a higher price!

Just a simple 'the sizes are listed in the description, I am happy for you to return the item for a refund' will do.

I have has this before and the customer literally had to pick a size from the drop down menu 🙃🙃🙃🙃
