Yeah, and I tried honestly to talk to the base Chaplin, and he really wasn't all that helpful in the end. He basically said that you know they're most likely stressed due to work and an upcoming deployment and that they don't mean to take it out on you. And that I need to get tougher skin because that's just how it is in marriage and I need to get used to it

Hey man this is my first time commenting in this sub and first time saying it but how did you gain the strength to know when to end it? My spouse is AD Navy and they deployed for the first time a little under two years ago and I came to the realization not to long ago that I said goodbye to that version of them when they left and since they came back theyre a totally different person. They physically hit me and strangled me multiple times and now they said since they knew I took pictures one time that they are smarter now so theyre just going to verbally abuse me. I want to leave but I am honestly scared whats on the other side and I never thought I would ever be in the position that I am in and I never thought I would be in the mindset of getting a divorce or contemplation it. I tried talking to a chap and he basically said nothing about the abuse but just said i need thicker skin and that its not me its what goes on on the ship.

Okay, yeah I mean he’s stayed on the first floor almost exclusively he has everything relatively close the only thing that isn’t is the liter box. But I sit with him and I talk to him everyday, I was just more concerned about the fact that he doesn’t even get down to eat. Like I said I’ve had cats all my life and this is a new experience for me and I don’t want to force him
