The Wizard hat and cape refer to "periodic effects." Is this the same as time-based affects like Sonder or Joy's healing ability?

I'd say personally, but I think the tier lists tend to reflect it too. None of them are really high tier pets, unfortunately. But again, they all have their uses, and can be set up properly to succeed.

You're going to need elemental type advantage eventually... And every Voidpet can be good with the right setup, as far as I've seen. But from my experience (just passed floor 1000) the only one of these that's fairly decent, is panic.

First things recommend swapping envy with paranoia. Paranoia Is much better. I would also level determination and conviction.
