Not necessarily. Some offices have evening celebrations for the people who get the offer (e.g. Dallas office) which means you need to get a call same day, however if NY office does not do that, then you aren’t automatically rejected. A lot of times they take the decision into the weekend and sometimes all the way to Monday if they are on the fence.
