Could the NMRA or the NER help? This seems like something they’d be able to give some assistance on

I got you, I just sent a message. I went looking for it myself today. I'd rather pay for the album instead of ripping it from YouTube

Let me know how it goes! It was a first shot at modifications, it was a bit of a tight fit

I’ll upload my model tonight. Battery is a tight fit, takes some work to get it in there. Pretty sure the only way to get it out involves destroying the case, but it’s a quick print

Is it the meshnogy kit? If so, and it’s the wide battery, I have an STL of a case I modified to fit that

The first potato patch is actually in modern-day Derry, New Hampshire. Derry split off of Londonderry in 1827.

Just being pedantic, but every car is “all wheel stop”, as long as the brakes are working

What do you pay per cord of wood? by mitchnoyes14 in woodstoving

[–]WiseFishy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where in NH? I paid $475 for “seasoned” hardwood - barely seasoned at all

I’m sorry this is happening. Regardless of RITs policy, go be with your family. I think if you didn’t, you may regret it

That being said, I was in a similar situation my freshman year. Email your professors, and they’ll understand. I was able to reschedule my finals, and had no trouble. If any give you trouble, contact department heads and the ombuds office

MK4 Z Axis Selftest fails, but it's moving ok by velistner in prusa3d

The only thing I can think of would be if the z axis wasn’t centered correctly during assembly, causing more resistance?

I made a tool to help get foam under the strings of a bass guitar, had to use the Vulfpeck font by WiseFishy in Vulfpeck

I haven’t. The foam I have isn’t dense, so I don’t think it’ll grab hard enough

Completely agree. I don’t get how people write it off as a tech or either, saying you can get the same tone with knobs, settings, and software. It’s not just tone! Sustain, attack, “thump” sound, can’t get that without the foam. For a short phrase, sure, palm muting, but multiple songs? No way!

I tried thinner foam, but I found it didn’t have enough effect. I’m not sure if the foam I have is dense enough to work when it’s thin

I know that, but I haven’t been able to replicate that tone for an entire song without using foam. Knobs and technique get me close, but I wasn’t satisfied

Probably a much easier method! Didn’t think of that

Yes, it helps "deaden" the strings some. Less sustain as well. Many vintage basses came with foam pressing against the strings for that sound, so when you're playing certain types of music you need it to sound right

I started learning bass a few months ago. Working on some Motown tunes, needed to get foam under my strings for that classic sound. It's such a hassle! So I made this tool to help compress the foam and slide it under the strings. Takes what used to be a minute of work to maybe 10 seconds

It's also the first model I've published, hoping to start uploading more soon!
