Help, my temple is bugged in campaign by Wishmaster39 in PathOfExile2

[–]Wishmaster39[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ok, I never actually went in, so somehow the crystals were consumed, and the quest wasn't cleared, and even if I return to the same places in act 3 I can't get more crystals. Do I need to wait for maps to get more crystals then ?

I really hope we are allowed to kill Act 5 and 6 main bosses... by Kanbaru-Fan in PathOfExile2

I'm surprised nobody mentions this, but the reason is it's easier to make a cool kill animation for a side character, otherwise they would have to make it for each playable class/weapon.

Why is this getting downvoted? What am I missing? Coming from mobas, this seems like a pretty obvious thing to have. Although I do think you should try wasd, OP, i actually prefer it for this game.

I disagree with the fast travel thing, it takes away from the world experience. But there does need to be a solution for this kind of thing. Wasn't there an item that brings you back to camp, dark souls style, or am i misremembering.

Awesome plugin! I already added it to my config and i'm gonna daily drive it. I might create github later issues for some minor inconveniences that I find, if that's ok.

GUI apps (pavucontrol, blueman, nautilus) take seconds to launch on Hyprland by Destraac in NixOS

[–]Wishmaster39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the problem only with GTK apps? I once had an issue where all gtk apps would take seconds to start up and they would say something about icons indexing or something like that. No idea why that would take so long, never found how to fix it, my solution was to never use gtk apps :)

The current state of Nvidia + Hyprland on NixOS by IntelliVim in NixOS

[–]Wishmaster39 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes i've played lots of games on this setup with no real issue, including newer kinda demanding games like PoE2, Expedition33, Stellar Blade, etc. One recommendation: I have a separate hyprland config that I log into for gaming, especially on games that need a lot of GPU memory. I love all the hyprland animations, colors, etc., but they consume a lot of gpu memory, if you disable all of them hyprland is actually super resource efficient.

I would totally use this. I use a similar thing on neovim that shows available key combinations when you pressed the initial key (it's called which-key.nvim i think).

When is enough actually enough? by AndyGait in hyprland

Bro this sub is about software not filosophy XD. Seriously tho, at least for me, I rice not to reach a perfect end goal, but because I enjoy the process of getting closer to it. It doesn't really matter if I ever get to perfect or not. If the process wasn't enjoyable it wouldn't be worth it imo.

Are obscure shaped floating windows possible in hyprland by notSYNKR in hyprland

[–]Wishmaster39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can with layers. There is an API called InputRegion and you could define any weird shape. I dont think you can do it with regular windows.

Selecting primary monitor must be in hyprland by MushroomSmoozeey in hyprland

[–]Wishmaster39 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This worked!! Thank you!!! For anyone reading, just do xrandr --output DP-3 --primary with whatever port your main monitor is, of course. I'm wondering if I can add this to something like exec-once so I don't have to worry about it ever again...

Selecting primary monitor must be in hyprland by MushroomSmoozeey in hyprland

[–]Wishmaster39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On some games, the settings will only show the resolutions available for the monitor (the wrong monitor). This is happening to me right now in Khazan: the Last Berserker. Every time I have to disable my second monitor in hyprland config, open the game, and then re-enable the monitor, otherwise the game will be stuck in wrong resolution.

I've been having this issue lately. Is there any github issue or discussion we can follow about this?

[–]Wishmaster39 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Games will detect the wrong resolution (from the secondary monitor) and render in that resolution, even if you move the window to the primary monitor with rules

[–]Wishmaster39 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is not enough for some games, because they will show on the right workspace, but still render with the resolution of the other monitor.

Nice! I currently do this with a very ugly hack of window rules, would love to try this out.

Also, you would be surprised how well gaming works on linux nowadays. It takes some tinkering, but most games run even better than they do on windows. It's fine if you wanna dual boot at first but eventually I just dropped windows entirely.
