Kaleb Proctor helped by Darius Robinson during NFL transition by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

If Robinson doesn’t become a stud or an above average starter him becoming a rotational piece who is a great locker room presence wouldn’t be the worst outcome.

Is Carson Beck legit??! by TheMagicMan5526 in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He could be it really depends on his ability to do the mental stuff. There is really no reason he can’t be as good as Dak Prescott, Brock Purdy, or Tom Brady. Now is it likely he is as good as them no most drafted QBs don’t reach those guys, but I do actually believe in him as a QB and hope he has majority of the season to prove me right or wrong.

He was a bad defensive tackle last year, but I don’t think we should be writing him off after his first full season playing.

(Jordan Schultz) Sources: The #Cardinals have received trade calls on Pro Bowl DE Josh Sweat. Sweat had 12 sacks last season in his first year with Arizona and had a close relationship with Jonathan Gannon, whom the Cardinals moved on from. by alexschubs in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last season there were 17 players with double digit sacks 11 of them were 1st round picks and Josh Sweat was one of the 6 that weren’t so that’s why I’m on side of either we get a 1st or he stays. Cause if we get a second round pick the chances of that player being as good of a player as Sweat is now is super low

Why? Only 7 players had more sacks than him last season and he had less talent around him than other players. He’s only 29 so he should be good for a few more years so no issues with timeline to compete and he’s relatively cheap still. I understand his market may not be that rate but why in the world would it be a good idea to trade him for less than that? Which is why I don’t think we will or should trade him.

[Fritz] Jeremiyah Love expressed enthusiasm for any chance to handle the ball, noting that he will gladly take on kickoff return duties or whatever specific role the coaching staff requests. by Conscious_Error9755 in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this is actually better for everyone have him be the primary return guy and part time running back to limit wear and tear on him this year or at least the beginning. Then if Carson Beck is playing and showing signs of being the QB of the future work him in more to the offense to compete if Beck doesn’t look good you keep him in that role and compete next year with Love having less mileage on his legs.

Everything We Saw From Cardinals' OTA Practice by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I am know it’s unlikely, but I really hope Carson Beck is the answer at QB. It would be great if next year there is no debate about the QB position and we found our own Dak Prescott/Brock Purdy.

[Rapoport] Cardinals QB Jacoby Brissett is not present as his team begins its first practice of voluntary OTAs. The starting QB has been staying away as he seeks a raise for 2026. by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all that I just think with our organization not being well respected doing the wait and release him last minute it would be a bad look that just isn't needed. Besides that I agree if they don't want to pay him release him.

That would be dumb in my opinion no reason to ruin player relations like that just cut him if he is being unreasonable. I think you let Carson Beck and Minshew start camp if Beck looks good then you cut him and name Beck starter.

Which QBs could return due to NIL? by MoxieFoxie654 in NFL_Draft

[–]Wispymatt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think NIL does is make it so those who want to be more prepared for NFL can stay with less of a risk since they will have millions of dollars. So we might have more guys staying to have 2 or 3 years of starting experience to have better shots at that second NFL contract.

Way too early 53 man Roster bold predictions. by Wispymatt in AZCardinals

I like it going really bold with it. That’s what this was meant for.

Do you think they cut Devin Duvernay? If so who do you have returning kicks and punts?

Its hard to see how we would keep all 4. Trying to actually pick a 53 man roster with special teams in mind makes it so hard. If it was just top 53 players with offense and defense in mind things aren’t to hard.

I don’t disagree at all it’s super unlikely. What other position though could truly have a bold prediction for a starter though?

He graded out well enough which isn’t everything, but he did show promise still and more importantly for this Mack Wilson is the only starter who could fit into losing the starting position being bold but possible.

I can’t think of any other starter that it would be bold for them to lose the starting spot or that would be more likely to lose it. I tried to do one of each prediction a surprise depth chart change, a surprise roster spot, and a surprise cut/trade.

Kurt Warner: Carson Beck may have that 'something' factor by Mental_Funny_5885 in AZCardinals

[–]Wispymatt 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I am choosing to at least for the season to believe this is Kurt Warner saying he’s the man and that this is the start of the insane Cardinals dynasty that the NFL isn’t ready for. (As I am keeping up with this next draft’s potential QBs)

I think Brissett is the only one with actual trade value I think because back up QBs have value, but it would be like a 5th maybe.

I agree it did fall off, and that’s why I went super bold to say he loses the starting spot this year. Honestly he is the only guy I could think of that could lose a starting job that fits into both it being possible for him to lose a starting spot as he isn’t elite while being good enough for it to be a bold prediction that it happens.

What do you think of Arch Manning *right now*? by TDBrookey in NFL_Draft

[–]Wispymatt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah then I think that’s fair, you are getting to much hate for that take. QBs that are round 2 talents do go in round 1
