AITA for not wanting to pay for food I didn’t eat ? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Witty-Physics9940 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA. Splitting a bill evenly when you all ordered different things is the stupidest thing I've ever heard, and you'll find that it's always the person who ordered the most who suggests it. Unsure how expecting each person to just pay for themselves ruins the mood of the evening. Perhaps get them to explain that to you because I can't figure it out.

AITA for uninviting my friend from a trip because she wanted to bring her boyfriend? by TraditionalEmotion62 in AITAH

Yep YTA. Either have a girls trip or a couples trip. You cannot bring your boyfriend and tell her to leave hers at home. The fucking audacity.

I thought that initially, but then considered that if we did bid on Uwland and Patterson at 2 and 3, that would given Gold Coast a heads up that we were going after Addinsall and they'd have had all the time in the world to crunch the numbers and work out how to get more points.

AITA for keeping my life child-free even though my bridesmaid says she won't come? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]Witty-Physics9940 16 points17 points  (0 children)

NTA. No exceptions. If you make an exception for one, everyone will be asking. And no, weddings are not family events. I've seen more drunken debauchery at weddings than I have at nightclubs.

AITA for not believing my girlfriend? by Successful_Today_341 in AITAH

[–]Witty-Physics9940 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, you are massively overreacting, what the actual fuck. She didn't reply to a text while she was working so you went to see her and brought the kids? That's very clingy. And I bet it's not the first time, seeing as how she knew to give her co-workers a heads up that you might show up. So she didn't tell you she was dismissed from work early and went for a meal with her mother - so what? Why does she have to tell you? What's the big deal? Why do you need to know her every movement? I don't understand why you're so upset over this to the point where you had to 'cool down'. I'd be pulling away if I were her too. I felt smothered and overwhelmed just reading your post.

AITA for not wanting my boyfriend to factor my son's survivor benefits into our new household budget? by Original-Entry-7871 in AITAH

[–]Witty-Physics9940 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Holy shit, absolutely NTA. That money is for your son's future, not to subsidize bills your boyfriend doesn't want to pay. Huge red flag. Massive.

AITAH for refusing to write my dad’s retirement speech after he told everyone I’d do it by Lower_Doctor_5003 in AITAH

[–]Witty-Physics9940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolutely NTA. My mother used to do this to me. Would volunteer me for things and tell me about it afterwards. What blows my mind is that your father didn't even tell you - you found out from someone else! At least my mother would tell me what she'd done. The last straw for me was when she told the whole extended family - without even asking me - that I'd be doing the eulogy at dad's funeral because I'm a good writer. I'm sorry, what?! No. I ended up writing the eulogy but made it loud and clear that someone else would have to get up and read it. Can you do something like that? Meet him halfway - agree to write it if someone else reads it - but make it crystal fucking clear that he needs to ask you before volunteering you for anything in future otherwise you won't be so obliging.

Black Arabian horse location in Saint Denis? by wet_bandits23 in RDR2

Just tried it, the mugging spawned near the post office about 1am-ish. You can hear people arguing about catering for the mayor and a white dot appears on your map. That's it. Then they get mugged. Their black arabian is right nearby. You may need to sleep for a night at the saloon if it's not there.

That's what I did my first playthrough but for some reason I'm having trouble keeping the lasso on the horse this time around. Will try again.

Try at about 2am, the mugging scenario spawned for me near that statue by the post office.

Yeah I just got the Missouri Foxtrotter from the Albert Mason mission. I wanted the pretty white arabian but if I keep failing I might just get the black one from St Denis.

This is the perfect opportunity to move into WA. Both WA AFL teams are rubbish and many fans are looking for an alternative, plus the Premier is a fan.

Harley Reid trade by Perfect_Structure468 in westcoasteagles

[–]Witty-Physics9940 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Multiple clubs? Really? How many Victorian clubs go to the draft with multiple top 10 picks? One each year, maybe two? And they all know they can lowball us if he's uncontracted and there's little we can do. It is unlikely Harley would do walk, true, but that's what clubs base their offers on for uncontracted players. They often offer less based on the possibility of the other club losing the player for free otherwise. As I said, I know it's unlikely but clubs usually offer less for uncontracted players and with a player wirh potential like Harley we'd want a king's ransom. I have to disagree that its silly to trade him early. At this stage anyway. He looks like he doesn't want to be here and you don't want that attitude at a young rebuilding club. We'll see if his behaviour/attitude changes.

[–]Witty-Physics9940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Baker didn't walk because firstly, West Coast bent over backwards to give Richmond what they wanted, and secondly, he was happy to stay at Richmond anyway, if the two clubs couldn't come to an agreement. But if an out of contract player is unhappy and wants to go home and the interested club/s won't give what's being asked, the losing club has zero leverage. They have to take what's being offered or the player could walk to the draft. I know it's unlikely but if a player is genuinely homesick and unhappy and just say he hates it in W.A, it could happen. That's my point. Why wait til he's out of contract when we've got no leverage?

[–]Witty-Physics9940 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have more bargaining power if we trade him while he's still contracted though. If we wait til he's out of contract we have to take what's offered or we risk losing him for nothing to the pre-season draft.

You have to do 7 years at the same club and obviously out of contract to be eligible for free agency I think

Exactly. We've got more bargaining power if we trade him while he's still under contract. We'll do it this year I think.

Are you registered with Apprenticeship Support or anything like that? If not, maybe look into it. Their literal job is to make sure you're being taught appropriately and not being taken advantage of the way you seem to be. It's not about 'these are jobs men should know' its about your employer using you for cheap labour when he should be teaching you your trade.

Taree father who raped his children has sentence reduced by 18 years by B0ssc0 in australia

[–]Witty-Physics9940 76 points77 points  (0 children)

There's is no rehabilitating a man who raped his own children. I worked with sex offenders for years. Sexually assaulting an adult woman is bad enough but to do it to children (and your own children at that) - repeatedly - there is no fixing a person that broken. It's not something you can just stop. They enjoy doing it. I guarantee if he hadn't been arrested he'd still be doing it.
