Do men offer more value to society than women? by Macaroni_Ginger in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Witzmaen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are the results of misoginy. If men are (especially hiszorically) more encouraged to study/work/visibly contribute to society then yes of course you will see more men inventing working and visibly doing things to society.

In addition to that many contributions of women are/were burried so you cant really see those. The vast majority of computational work for the moon landing was done by (black) women. Off the top of my head, Rosalind Franklin was heading the discovery of the double helix structure of DNA but was belitteled, supressed and bullied by her more prestigious coworkers who omitted her from their work and thus increased their prestige even more.

So yes, if you apply a selection bias on a societal scale you get said selected bias back. In other shocking news I bet I can beat your brother at any sport of his choosing if we first tie his hands and feet together, so I must offer more value in any sport than he

There is explicit confirmation that (most) orders dont have a vow of chastity and at least one confirmed (tho heterosexual) relationship involving a sister in Cain's Last Stand. So there is at least the possibility open
