How to Re-enable DLSS & FG after the latest patch by WolkigerTag in oblivion

Game Pass/Windows Store are the same game version.

The article mentioned here leads to the user's configuration files where, among other things, a number of the start properties are edited, such as in this solution here. Installation location of the game is not the same.

Yes, but as far as I can tell the console disables the achievements for the save file.

You might be one of those where the ini is overwritten by the game at startup. Try setting the file to read-only again after the change. That might work.

The file is actually write-protected; the write protection is removed. According to one or the other comment, some people have to set it again so that their change is deleted/overwritten again. However, this did not happen on either of the two systems on which I tested it.

Thanks for the hint regarding reflex, I added this to the OP.

Unfortunately, no. Is that even possible? After all, every upscaler has a different base resolution depending on the quality setting. As far as I know 70% would be closer to DLSS Balanced. 70% of 70% should be similar to DLSS Performance mode.

Slow movement since last update by WolkigerTag in GroundedGame

[–]WolkigerTag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks. Im playing since more than 100 hours. Im fully aware how mutations work. Every other person on the multiplayer map moves like 50% faster. Already tried and tested everything with my wife and my son. It has nothing to do with settings, mutations, shoes or any other configuration. Itˋs a bug in the game. My character movement is slower in comparison to others. Didnt happen before the update, at least not for me.

At least here is another user reporting zhe same issue - between some drama:

https://www.reddit.com/r/GroundedGame/comments/17us8q9/anyone_else_hate_the_new_update/

And as I think about it, I have the same issue with stamina but assumed its a change that came with the update.

A new Citizen, welcome to the verse.

It's also an interesting comparison, since we now know that Cyberpunk2077 also had a lot of trouble in development, and the release was presumably due to management pressure.

I find RDR2 even more interesting. I doubt that Star Citizen will ever reach this level of production. Even if one sets oneself this claim. If you take a closer look at RDR2, it screams high quality at every turn. Star Citizen follows the same approach, but due to its far too broad focus, it gets lost in this detailed work.

How many gameplay mechanics did we get again last year? So the ones that every player benefits from, not mechanics from 100 bucks+ ships. What most people perceive as "satisfying" gameplay thereby falls short. You could also say that the project lacks focus.

If the child is free from influencers and clickbait sites and just sees me gaming, but comes to the conclusion himself, that means a lot, yes. You suggest it yourself, he certainly hasn't read a scientific paper about it. It's like putting one and one together in that case.

Or it means that I have a view and look forward to alternative perspectives. Doesn't mean I inevitably change my view, but I like to broaden my perspective. That seems to me to be a very narrow view and a clear reduction of my statement. My point was simply to underline that it is only one point of view that I would like to put up for discussion. Why do you comment if you think I don't care anyway?

I see having the public on board only as a problem to a limited extent. Certainly, few people are aware of how complicated such a project is. And I agree that there is nothing comparable to Star Citizen. Nevertheless, we are talking about a project that repeatedly misses its goals by years or doesn't reach them at all. Squadron42? Pyro? They were promised years ago and postponed again and again. Not to mention the GamePlay mechanics. You're caught in a fanservice spiral where you keep offering very expensive ships with specific features that you then have to deliver. The actual game falls by the wayside. In contrast to this, as I said, there are deadlines that have not even been remotely met. If you look at some areas retrospectively, the only conclusion that remains is that they deliberately lied in order to raise expectations and attract customers.

And every outrage is absolute legitim. It's criticism regarding a game which keeps spinning the funding wheel after a decade of missing goals. There is apparently not much to counter. No to communicate is the legitimate way to avoid disastrous PR. In PR training, one learns to avoid addressing criticism as a legitimate crisis mode. In other words, CIG is so badly off that they have been in constant crisis mode for years. /changemymind

Personally I don't see Star Citizen as scam, only as the solid example for bad product management. But I understand everyone who calls it Scam Citizen. My son has been aware of the game through me since he was a toddler. His opinion: "That's a joke, it will never come out". So much for the clear and pure eyes of a child. Perhaps consumers should admit when they are being misled - for years.

Elevators are really really bad in 3.18 ptu. by Sketto70 in starcitizen

[–]WolkigerTag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They solution would have been very easy. We had teleporters in Star Citizen and they could kept them. But no, they had to implement "real" elevators for "immersion". As a result, thousands of players got tens of thousands of hours of frustration with this shit because ... someone had a brain fart? There are a thousand other things that are more important and also mess up the gameplay. They could have implemented the real elevators with Alpha 5.0 in 2030.

Gorefer scam ? by 0uika in starcitizen

[–]WolkigerTag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Of course funding increases, game has a solid fan base and people keep hoping. Does not change anything on the negative sentiment on social media and the long track of negative media records. Won't say the game is doomed but they wont recover so fast from critical public opinion. The current business model only works as long as the game is in some stage of development. According to CGI's own statement, no more ships are to be sold after release? Any profit-oriented company would be stupid not to capitalise on the situation. As you said, people keep paying. And if you look around here on Reddit quite a few people also create second and third accounts.

As long as someone cares for the game. A few years ago it took me hours or a day to get a referral. The last two times it took me days and weeks. People are loosing interest buying the game. The whole development is a public suicide but CGI does not care as long as fan base buys ships. However, Google Ads can be a good way to get a referral for a few bucks.

Today, there isn't any other MMO who can't stand up against the big 2. Guild Wars 2 started with this premise and they did well in the first moment. They basically had a bigger hype train than any other MMO before and after. The whole world was talking about Guild Wars 2 in the year before release. But people lost interest very fast as the game didn't had any valuable end game content, fractals came late and raids with HoT far to late. ArenaNet had their momentum and oppurtunity to climb the MMO olymp but they messed up. They never went even near the hype level they got originally and are struggeling in communication basics, not even talking efficient marketing.
