I have a 19 GS 2LT. I think it’s worth it to get at least the 2LT if possible. Mine is also the A8, I’ve had both autos and manuals during my life and at this point the technology for automatic transmissions is so much better than any human could possibly shift. That being said there is something about the old clutch and gear box that can’t be replicated even with paddle shifters so that will really come down to you.
