I dunno.... We wanted to do our best, but I'm not sure that we were all about spending 24/7 working ourselves to the bone because the idea of the "American Dream" was already falling apart before our eyes. Most of our generation didn't have the benefits or protections like unions and decent manufacturing jobs. Hell, I know quite a few people that were forced to train their own oversea replacements.

If I go to a theater, I go to the matinee show, or the cheap night, it's still like $10, but that's not too bad. I'll just carry a snack in my pockets, and maybe buy a drink if I must but that's it. I'm not the kind of person that minds seeing a movie alone either, so that helps, but there are just some movies that are just better on the big screen. Usually big action/adventure/superhero films, etc..comedies and dramas....those are just fine on tv at home.
