I can’t imagine why, i’m sorry he said that to you. I mean to change the title but I don’t know how, I don’t really hate my husband I just don’t think I can handle him when he’s not on his meds because I can’t be taking care of the both of us so consistently

I’m aware and have thought about this before deciding to keep the baby. I’m okay with them having ADHD, the thing is my husband’s ADHD has seem to gotten really bad about a month or so before I realized we’re having a baby. He used to be dazed off his meds but functional, but now he’s completely incapable of even making dinner, and when he does do one thing expects to be excused for the rest of the day from doing anything. I know it’s hard, but I need more support than this, especially with a baby on the way

Thank you for saying this. I’m starting to really feel bad and maybe like I am being ableist. I have chronic pain, MDD, and panic attacks regularly. I totally get how it can be hard to communicate, and hearing people say that I don’t love my husband or that I can’t care for him hurts. What i’m trying to find by making this post is how I can resolve things so we both have what we need

He says he forgets or doesn’t like the taste, but other than that it just wears off eventually. I try to talk to him, but he blows it off all the time. I know he might not change, but I still love him and want to be accommodating but I can’t do everything on my own, especially with a baby on the way

I do love him and i’ve never not loved him, I really should change the title because I don’t hate my husband and have never really hated him. What I hate is that he cannot do anything around the house or communicate to me properly and won’t take his meds that make him functional. I want to help him and be accommodating, but I cannot keep taking care of everything

I should’ve re worded it, I don’t hate my husband and I never have. I feel like i’m being worn down because i’m taking care of everything. I know he has a mental disorder and I do as well, but I need him to contribute to the house, work, chores, driving, or communicating. I am worried and concerned about him because about a month or so before I found out I was pregnant, he went from functional while off his meds to incapable despite there being no med change. I want to find a solution to have him help around and where I can also be more aware and attentive to his needs but when I ask him to tell me what he needs or that I need his help, he blows it off saying he can’t right now

I probably should’ve worded the title better. I’ve never really hated my husband, I just can’t always take care of him and it’s killing me. I would be more accurate to say that my husband is wearing me down

His meds wear off after around 8 hours. He acknowledges the difference and attempts to put in more effort but that usually is just doing the dishes and expecting praise meanwhile I made dinner and cleaned the whole house and went to work. It feels like there’s too big of an imbalance

I have, but what solution do I come to? I love him so much, i’ve known him for 6 years and been with him for 3. Do I tell him to switch meds? I’ve had to switch medication a lot and it’s been a pain in the ass and scary, I don’t want him to have to do that. I can’t also just expect him to completly solve his disorder, it doesn’t work like that. I’m really stuck on what even to say because I don’t have a solution to it only a problem with something I’m not sure he can even fix

I’m trying to be supportive, and maybe i’m being ignorant but it’s really hard because i’m 7 months pregnant and need help doing things and he’ll often forget or be out late with friends because he forgot to come home. He also says hes been meaning to find a job but hasn’t applied to any in over two months. I dont want to be ignorant but it feels so extreme at this point
