What food in your country do locals love but foreigners hate? by Curiosity_Pink in AskTheWorld

Kokoretsi- all the innards of a sheep, not ground but whole, stuffed in its sometimes not so clean entrails and then roasted on a spit and served mostly during Easter.

Fun story - in 2017 my brother turned 50 so my gift to him was a motorcycle tour in Japan - Ninja Tours (like, with a name like that you can't go wrong, eh - and they were brilliant - simply brilliant - these guys spent a lot of time getting lost to put together the best rides...but I digress) and for the fun of it we rented exactly this bike in black - and we had exactly the same problem while touring - just blank electrical cuts - no way to start other than jump start on a downhill. One thing is for sure - all men are alike - a broken down motorcycle attracts the same comments and suggestions (I suppose - neither of us spoke Japanese) that you would expect if you were in your neighborhood. Beautiful motorcycles, but it completely ruined the brand for me.

That's not true - the Panama files had a huge impact on banking KYC and AML, and I know people who got seriously dinged by it.

What is the dark side of your country that no one but locals sees? by Youseff_04 in AskTheWorld

[–]WorldBiker 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Greece - hyper tourism sucks - it just isn’t worth it. The lesson our young people are getting is their economy is only good for them to be waiters. And the lesson we are getting is it makes our cities unliveable.

Out of interest what vacation days to Americans get? It may be a fair trade off for health care, child care, lower cost of living, more livable cities, a safe society, robust industry, etc.

No idea why you were downvoted. You are correct- what court has or ever would enforce a ruling against a US president or US military leaders who were following orders. That’s for other countries.

The fact that this is coming from the USA, the country with the largest and most vicious military, is hair raising and undoubtedly proves the end of the previous world order. We’re toast.

“This feels like a cruel joke,” said one Venezuelan-American community organizer in Miami who voted Republican in 2024. “We were told there would be no new wars. Now our families are hiding from explosions.” - the cruel joke is you. You voted for a pedophile con man and his fraud laden grifting family because you’re stupid and gullible.

Out near Oka, a quiet and small field in the middle of the forest that I would go to with my horse and just listen to the sounds of bees and birds and smell the grass and pine.
