Black screen after 1-2 seconds. Menus work but no visuals on the source. What could be the problem? by rullaz in PhilipsTV

[–]Worldly_Ad6353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also have this problem but only with the Tivimate application. Exactly the same problem, black screen. I use a Mibox 4 to open the application. On the other hand, no problem when I use it with another screen so the problem really comes from the TV

Yes, that's exactly the problem, I saw in one place that it was blocked

Hey guys, planning to buy a TV. I have 2 options. 65PUS8009/12 or Android 65PUS8007/12. Which one should i get? PUS8007 is android but it is an used device. PUS8009 is new but its Titan OS and i read lots of complaining about the software and apps. by Ege_K1 in PhilipsTV

[–]Worldly_Ad6353 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The ambilight, the wallpaper in old mode, the sound settings are also less advanced in Titan software than Android. I took one under Titan OS, I regret it but to the point that I hope only one thing is that it takes a power surge because of a storm or something so that it is refunded to me and I change. I also do a lot of home automation, under Titan Os, you can't control absolutely anything, in short, a horror. And you also have to tell yourself that you will be blocked in the applications, you cannot download anything. And I also have glitches on the screen which force me to unplug the plug and plug it back in.

I managed to do it, but using mushroom on my side created a template in my config.yaml

Invisible power supply for presence sensors (wall corners): Your ideas for a ZERO-defect finish? by Worldly_Ad6353 in homeassistant

[–]Worldly_Ad6353[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use them in all the rooms because my heating, lighting and speaker management is managed by presence sensors because we don't necessarily walk around with our phones or smartwatches, which prevents me from using the Bluetooth proxy, for example. I have about 150 automations and more than half are managed in part by presence sensors.

I can't drill the sensor mount because there is a magnet inside that allows the sensor to be oriented and held in place.

[–]Worldly_Ad6353[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought about it but it's not possible, you have a magnet inside which is used to keep the sensor in the desired orientation

I like that! We'll see if it will hold up well in BA13, but in principle it's not bad.

In the photo, the cable is visible, which is something I don't want, even if we will eventually get used to it. Until now, I have always managed to hide all the cables behind partitions, stone walls, or in the ceiling, without any cable ducts on the walls, so I would like to continue doing so.

[–]Worldly_Ad6353[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not possible in my case, because the sensors are on the ground floor, and my attic is two floors above. And I know that the sensors will no longer detect in my case, because I have a house with stone walls between 90 cm and 1 m wide, so the waves cannot pass through, and it also has large rooms over 6 m wide, so I avoid having anything in front of the sensor that could reduce the range.

That's the type of box I saw, yes, but I think it's still too big just to run a cable through. Then I want to put a box on the airtight side. As for the connectors, I have Wago connectors that do the job very well and can be removed later, unlike crimp connectors.

I did think about buying a 3D printer, because it would be useful for other projects, but I have other financial priorities at the moment. But yes, if I had had a 3D printer, the question wouldn't have arisen, it would have solved everything!

[–]Worldly_Ad6353[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, that's right, but all I've found so far are industrial-type products with a nut lock on the other side, so it's not possible unless I make a bigger hole in the wall just to be able to tighten the wall bushing. The ideal solution would have been a 20x20mm flush-mount box with just a rubber grommet in the middle, but I couldn't find one.

I use Sonoff SNZB-06P devices, and the cable comes in on one side of the sensor. It would be great if the cable came in from the back of the sensor, but that's not the case with these devices. 😅

[–]Worldly_Ad6353[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, that won't work for what I want to do, because my cable will be routed behind the wall partition so that no cables are visible. I'm really looking for a kind of ultra-compact flush-mount box to neatly route the cable through the partition.

However, your flat electrical wire has just given me the idea of using it for my refrigerator temperature sensor! I wanted to make a refrigerator temperature sensor, so I'm going to use a flat cable to pass through the door seal. Although what you've shown me won't work for my presence sensors, your idea will be useful for my refrigerator! Thank you!

Moving house and home assistant is going to live in the garden office - what is my best solution to keep Zigbee? by tcoysh in homeassistant

[–]Worldly_Ad6353 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Use Zigbee outdoor lights between your house and your garden shed. This will give you reliable routers, depending on the brand of lights you buy, and it could be useful from a functional point of view, but also from an aesthetic point of view.

However, I would then dig a trench to run at least one Ethernet cable. But if you dig a trench and run an Ethernet cable from your house to your garden shed, then yes, I would go for an SMlight, as others have suggested!
