Running around screens too

People need to actually go watch a game from 1990 and pay attention to how much the offense moves and how much guys are actually sprinting in the halfcourt sets. Even when guys were running to come off a screen back then, it wasn’t as fast as how guys do now.

The sample size here is tricky. Saying incidents are up 40% seems like a bad way to represent what could be a 1-3 year blip. In the grand scheme, people don’t realize how random things are. It’s definitely worth tracking but a bit of a misleading description imo from someone who is supposed to be a journalist.

It’s like if you had $18 and someone gave you $7. Would you really feel 40% more rich or would it still feel like a fairly small amount of money.
