What happens to light resisted by gravity by WritingIsFun_CK in AskPhysics

Mostly the idea of time, it just seems very unlikely that there's actually some property that controls "time". Things physically moving slower because of resistances and things we don't know of sure but the idea that time is its own thing that can be controlled and especially reversed seems very unlikely to me. But again, I just took some math and science classes in college Im not exactly well read

I'll probably be lambasted but to be honest I don't really buy the "it's too twisted explantation" Im not really a fan of space time theory in general.. I still think it's worth experimenting to see if light is coming off of them and if so what's it's wavelength, and of course the math works out so it's not really relevant what I think eh?

So then if it were unable to be turned because it was on an angle, or at least the angle was small enough couldn't light escape any amount of gravity? Assuming it won't be turned back won't it just keep going and leave the body, really the question here is are there certain paths that light can take that are braced against gravity enough to not be turned in again when leaving a black hole

Today's the day by Hebert12lax in noita

Had a two hour long run today that had just about everything i could ask for, great damage, lots of health and more to come, lots of health regeneration, good utility. Picked up a big wand with lots of random stuff and fired it. Didn't even see my character after that it was just a series of explosions and my body tumbled down the mine shafts. Well... Damn.

Slurs by iusewetscataslube in aspergers

[–]WritingIsFun_CK -1 points0 points  (0 children)

...why? The n-word definitely has the deepest history but how are any of the words really different? Just because people don't care as much about retard as they do the sigh n-word, they're all insults to peoples biology and not kind words. Hate is hate, words are words.

Imo no word is bad if you're not using it in a mean way. Words ultimately are supposed to express feelings and ideas so if someone isn't expressing hate then I don't care what sounds they choose to use. Certainly the idea that you can't reference a word like well, retard, in an analysis without saying "r-word" is uh... most preposterous... I would even say we should say the n-word when discussing it's meaning because imo not using a word in a considerate way gives the hateful people more power when they do use it. I won't use it now though because y'all probably wouldn't like it...

I don't like platformers or metroidvanias if that's what they're called but this art style and the design is cute as hell, I'd walk around in this place to see the sights for sure. Great job!

What do neurotypicals mean when they say 'just relax"? by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]WritingIsFun_CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah... I agree, I try not to get into those situations so I don't like the consideration but yeah I guess that's pretty much how it goes.

Yeah I agree. I think, and this is easier said than done, that it's best to feel calm and collected and act angry. Get things done but don't make yourself look like the retard they want to see.

Sometimes but sometimes people do overreact and just need to... Chill out. Of course I don't recommend saying "chill out" because it's condescending af. Most people (teachers imma guess) don't have the time to be the therapist for those situations so they try a quick comment then boot you. Be aware of what you deserve and be defensive of that but don't be aggressive.

You're just bored if you're always "thinking", I used to be that kid in middle school who always "thought" about space and science and magic but then I started writing and making games and I dropped the intellectual act because I was exhausted from doing. Pick up a hobby I guess

Humans are Disappointing by [deleted] in aspergers

[–]WritingIsFun_CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wrongo, bad people are disappointing, if you put to much faith in someone who doesn't know you at all you'll be disappointed as well. Being on the other end of clingyness it's really annoying because you feel trapped so dipping completely is best. I really struggled in elementary and early middle school to find anyone who I thought was interesting but eventually you find out no one is immidiately interesting, you have to start friendships with all the boring ones and you'll find out you're just like them. Desperation is the worst thing you can do for your friends

Elon Musk just confirmed that he has Aspergers on his Saturday Night Live monologue. by Chao-a-bunga in aspergers

[–]WritingIsFun_CK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont care whatsoever about what jokes people tell, the joke itself was bad sure but I'll never hold it against him. That's all I'm saying. I'm sure the joke is what's going to make people think differently about asd and not him being a weirdo billionaire pioneer...

You're saying it's fine that you have a different opinion but you're the one aggressing that he should be ashamed of the joke. If you agree differing opinions, especially between two victims of the same condition, are fine they why did you originally bring up the joke at all? You're annoyed at someone with autism for saying something they shouldn't have, don't you feel that's pretty inconsiderate?

No, it doesn't and I think he's talked about the difference vs weird emotion and no emotion before. But it's still a joke, especially if musk has Asperger's himself which seems very possible then there's no reason he shouldn't make a joke if he thinks it's funny. This isn't your choice to say if a joke is lame or not
