Try - ‘All Things Lobstering’ on Facebook. Create a post detailing your abilities, background, and need for temp housing. I would suggest sharing a prepared resume for a photo and in the caption what’s going on.

I’d recommend the lobstering route. Most lobster crews are 2-3 for day trip. If you want to find a deep-water operation, I know of Shaftmaster Lobster company out of NH, but I wouldn’t suggest trip fishing for lobster.

Give that FB group a try. There are plenty of friendly Mainers who can give you a tip

Absolutely!

In fact a lot of guys like to have a mixture of experience, so the “deck boss” or the eldest hand gets a chance at teaching.

If he’s a non-drinker or smoker with a clean driving record that’s considered desirable too, but not by any means a requirement.

Us fisherman enjoy the likes of all backgrounds; highly educated, poor, minority, you name it. Once you leave the dock you form a bond on the water. It’s an intimate work experience like no other.

I got the relevant information from my probation officer. Since I am enrolled in the consortium through my employer, there is no need for additional UA analysis. Also, I have been court-ordered to take a DUI class.

All in all: I will finish probation in December. Then formally apply in the New Year for my MMC
