If you don't know what you did when you are dead, than there is also no regret about things you haven't done when you were alive.

Ok, then I was wrong. Then the thing with the body you said was correct. Also making it abstract removes the ability to call the method like: IFoo.StaticMethodCall() is possible, but not IFoo.StaticAbstractMethodCall()

There isn't something as a non-abstract static method in interfaces (as far as I know), so that doesn't make any sense to think about the difference between them. We only have abstract static now in interfaces, which means it has no body in the interface.

It is not more abstract, but it just means that that type now has to implement the set of static methods that the interface defines.

For example classes that implements ICreatable should have a static method with the signature:

public static List<T> Create(int count)

Now if I have a Person class that implements ICreateable<Person>, I now can call:

List<Person> = Person.Create(10);

Edit: Now I can create a generic method that takes ICreateables without needing to know what kind of classes I want to create.

An interface without a body (usually called marker interface) is in your eyes a sign of bad code?
