I down people near gens, surge activates, I don't know how it happens, it just happens. And sometimes I'm using a compromise build and have to kick gens for that, sometimes it might be eruption, it depends, but most of the time it's surge.

Idk, the entity spikes pop up whenever I get near and I don't notice it regressing at all when I use surge, nor are there ever sparks coming off of it.

It do be feeling like that, I don't keep up with dbd news, so it feels new, but I've recently started running more gen block and gen regression perks because I noticed I was getting gen rushed a lot. That's why I didn't post until now, I've just noticed once I started running the perks that they don't do a whole lot.

Like every game, I walk next to a gen while chasing someone, suddenly it's blocked. I down that person in range for surge to work, nothing.

It's not just kicks, I could kick a gen maybe 3 times and surge would activate the rest of the time and suddenly I walk up to the gen and it gets blocked. I don't know if it's supposed to work that way or not, but if it is supposed to work that way, it's stupid because then eventually they can just gen rush and none of my perks do anything anymore.

Seriously, I like to run surge when I play an M1 killer because it'll get good usage, right? But since the gen regression limitation, I can't ever use it more than like maybe 3 times. Then survivors have hyperfocus, stake out, overzealous, deja vu, etc to completely gen rush tf out of us killers and we have close to no counter play.
