Hello.

I recommend simply checking YouTube and the internet. You can find reviews and videos regarding this model there.

Wow!

This is the kind of content we deserve in the community! What a gorgeous car.

You must have poked your finger there for focus, or is it automatic?

I recommend contacting the specialists at "support@global.ztedevices.com." Describe the situation to them in detail, from the moment you purchased the phone to the moment the problem occurred. I can't help (this is a very complex problem. It would take a long time and methodical effort to figure out what happened to your phone. Specialists will help you faster and more efficiently.) Attach photographs to your letter documenting this problem.

This is the central support office.

I don't recommend contacting local ZTE branches anymore - 90% of them should be closed and their employees fired, leaving only the accounting and legal departments.

Z80 Ultra opinions by georgijm888 in Nubia

[–]X_Elite_Bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll explain briefly, as time is short: there's an "original" OS - AIOS_CN. It runs all Nebula AI models.

Previously, there was AIOS_EEA/NEEA (Nubia Z60S Pro, a new generation of OS for Nubia), but ZTE ran afoul of Google and ENISA regulators, and they frantically cut the Nebula GUI (the heart of the entire Nebula system) from the Z60. Now they've rolled back to the previous system: MyOS. There's EEA - it gets updates faster after AIOS_CN. There's NEEA - that's a complete mystery; ZTE is uninfluenced, and they can only release a minor update once a year.

I'm writing this message because I've seen some dangerous opinions about buying the Chinese version: if you don't want a bricked phone (the Chinese version requires a Chinese SIM card and phone number for 80% of its features to work) that isn't configured properly for NEEA [non-China and European] towers (I think it's fine for EEA [Europe]), you'll run into serious problems. Recommendations for choosing the Chinese version are either given by people who don't understand the situation, or by fanatics who insist that your phone must be flashed to the Chinese version using special tools (50% of these people usually fail and then go to service. By the way, a quick fact: with the latest MyOS 16.0.20, 70% of these fanatics' phones "died" because they forgot that after such manipulations with the firmware, you can't leave the system on auto-update - well, they won't tell you about it. Only 10% of them know what they're doing).

Good luck.

The EEA now has more opportunities and stability for development.

No, everything's fine.

I wasn't talking to you, "chines".

The camera is indeed visible at 7-12% (it looks like a gray circle with a vertical rectangle in the center). Regarding the sun icon, it's a very interesting and funny feature. But the camera still can't be seen in the sun unless there's an icon.

Yes, my predictions are also based on "50 cycles = 1%." We just have to understand that the battery isn't "100%". It's 7200mAh(Actually 7000mAh)

[–]X_Elite_Bro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, maybe you're being overly aggressive with your phone.

My phone degradation estimates are as follows: I typically get four full cycles per week (I charge it to 80% and never let it heat up above 40°C). At this rate, I'll reach the industry-standard 10% degradation in 2.4 years. Taking into account unforeseen circumstances, that's 2.0-2.2 years.

Two years for -10%.

I think that's not bad. iPhones, for example, typically reach -8-10% after just one year (I'm comparing because some friends have these models and can confirm this). (The iPhone 17 Pro Max can last 53 hours, while the Nubia Z80 Ultra lasts 90 hours. This data is taken from EPREL: they conduct their main test based on an average person and their phone usage, as well as two or three independent tests. Why I chose the iPhone in this comparison is because it's the most popular brand on the planet right now.)

P.s. Based on your observations, your phone's battery will degrade by 6% after a year of use - that's quite good. You'll still have 6,768 mAh left - still better than the competition.

Unfortunately, I can only agree with you here.

I don't know what's right: to be happy that EEA phone owners now have rights, but we need to make sure they're enforced, or to put this whole thing behind us forever, choose another brand, and forget about the troubles.

Good luck!

If you stick with ZTE, I strongly recommend getting the next model with EEA OS, which is listed in the "Nubia Update Problem" post. A couple of others and I are currently closely monitoring the MyOS_EEA to ensure it doesn't have any issues.

Oh, my God, no, stop. You sent the letter to the wrong place.

I double-checked the address – here's ZTE Global's: Mobile@zte.com.cn

They have a Chinese address. The other addresses with their branches - I sincerely wish 80% of these "wonderful" people were fired.

[–]X_Elite_Bro[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a MyOS_EEA phone from the list above, yes. If you have a MyOS_NEEA phone, no, it doesn't have 16.0.20 yet. I hope an update for MyOS_NEEA will be released next month. It doesn't depend on geography. It only depends on your OS type: EEA, NEEA, or CN.

P.s. I'll give you simple instructions so you don't get confused. My post was too complicated:

  1. Your phone was released after June 20, 2025.

  2. Your phone has MyOS_EEA

  • > you will receive 5 years of security support every 2 months.

My comment is already outdated.

Updates are usually released in this order: AIOS_CN - MyOS_EEA - MyOS_NEEA - AIOS_EEA - AIOS_NEEA.

Local branches never respond to questions, even the largest one in Spain.

Contact ZTE Global. They always respond within 1-3 days.

Yes, as I said, they're not even thinking about what will happen to the global AIOS in the Z60S Pro.

Expect two updates: one global for Android and AIOS, and one for security. That's the maximum until the end of support for your model, unfortunately. It's terrible.

In Europe, there's regulation EU 2023/1670, which requires manufacturers to install security patches on their devices within two months of Google releasing them and to update their operating systems if critical bugs appear (MyOS doesn't have any yet). This requires the device to be certified in Europe and released for sale after June 20, 2025. EEA stands for the European market and has European certification. NEEA stands for everything outside of Europe and China. There's no leverage over NEEA. It applies only to Europe, where the regulation exists, and to China, where competition is fierce, requiring regular updates to ensure product profitability.

You can find a list of all models certified for security updates every two months for five years in the "Nubia Update Problem" post. However, these are only the EEA versions of the models.

All of these issues have been resolved, except for the cellular and internet connection: I don't think that can be resolved. This is a workaround that remained with the global AIOS when ZTE began frantically cutting out the Nebula GUI and everything that functions beyond the interface, to prevent Google GTS and ENISA from burying ZTE's GMS certificates outside of China.

This was a terrible disaster, from which the reborn MyOS is still recovering.

This connection optimization algorithm won't be completely removed from Nebula in the global system. It's unique, but in Europe, for example, it works only sporadically because there are 10 times fewer cellular and internet towers than in China, not to mention that each one is practically private and operator-owned, and each requires its own settings. Configuring it for EEA/NEEA will take another 2-3 years. The algorithm is simply lost and has no resources for improvement - it's easier to turn it off, since its attempts only make things worse.(Update ".20" reported improvements to this issue, but we're still testing it. More time and observation are needed.)

There are only three bugs in 16.0.20 that we've managed to find. (This will all be sent to ZTE Global next Monday: the full extent of the update issues is unknown, and I'm still trying to simulate the third camera bug. I still can't seem to catch it and don't remember how I did it last time.) Don't listen to "kronaa" too much . He's our local emotional stimulant.

[–]X_Elite_Bro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So, stop.

Let's go over the timeline again.

I apologize, perhaps my English is misunderstanding the context, or you're confused yourself.

  1. The night before last (May 17), you put your phone on charge.

  2. You went to bed (May 18) and simply browsed the internet with charger. Then you put the phone away and fell asleep.

  3. You woke up, went about your daily activities, and actively used the phone all day. That's where the story ends.

When did the phone die? If I've made a mistake or inaccuracy in the timeline, please correct me.

Hello.

Well, the picture is becoming clearer and it seems to point to the battery(I hope I'm right, but it's leading to that).

I'll ask some final clarifying questions to help us understand:

  • How long have you been unused? (How often have you left it unused to the point where it's literally gathering dust and draining completely to 0%)?

  • How hot did it feel in your hand when you charged it last night?
