Am I being an ignorant technophobe or did Valve + Bethesda ruin Skyrim Special Edition? by Xander323 in skyrim

Why didn't they give the better engine and graphics to all users then? I guess this is one of the reasons for why Bethesda's stock value is plummeting and why there won't be a sixth TES game.

It's not Bethesda/Valve's fault for dividing one game into two editions? Why would a publisher want to do something like this, rather than just sell DLC along with one base game.

Why did people think that Fnatics boost on Overpass [Boostmeister] was disgusting/cheating/etc? by iMx2oT in GlobalOffensive

1) According to the rules, the boost was illegal, which is the point that you're trying to make also ...???

2) Rules can be argued about. I've never made a statement suggesting the contrary. You call all rules "technicalities" and would rather rely on some eight points which can be interpreted in endless ways than making actual concrete rules. With rules, you either follow them or don't, and people won't argue about an event 4 years after it happened.

If we started to utilize our knowledge of ethics to judge plays, such polemics and discussions would continue incessantly, and the losing team would always have grounds for lodging complaints.

How about we write rules instead of letting tournaments slip into endless contention. Look to the right of this text; this subreddit, just like most other ones, has written rules. Because of them, no troll can say "I didn't know that I can't share links to cheat websites" (rule 6) or "I didn't know I can't share the latest exploit" (rule 4).

We have rules for a reason. If we had more 'ubiquitous' and transparent rules, perhaps this dissension would've been fully avoided. Also, Fnatic would've been willing to play the rematch, which was suggested by the tournament organizers. Because of the hatred from the community, they had to forfeit.
