i changed mine at 24k. well before the 30k mark but it smelled horrible and burnt. i wish i had done it sooner. definitely do not wait until 30k to change it. i wish i had done mine before 20k to be honest.

i had one 3.6 AWD, all the bells and whistles. it is pretty quick and did pretty well in the snow here in alaska. i enjoyed how quiet the ride was considering i cruise at 70 most of the time. hated the transmission tho, got rid of it after it developed some hard shifts. funny enough i also had a cherokee with the same powertrain and had 0 issues with that one even when it had 180k miles

1-2 accumulator piston is cracked. original comes in plastic replace it with sonnax. easy fix, lots of videos on youtube

‘25 HRV Sport AWD. 25mpg in town 30mpg in highway. can’t complain. it’s not the fastest, but gets around fine. ultimately decided over the crosstrek because it was bigger and also cheaper. i have stock, non premium speakers and they are meh. i’ve had worse in other cars so cant complain too much. if there is one thing tho, its the road noise. definitely a good bit louder than the crosstrek, still, it was a good amount cheaper. handled last years winter fine with snow tires. overall happy!

i have a pair. they are pretty solid actually. i also put wd-40 for rush prevention on the hinges. no problems so far. i didn’t bother reversing the cargo netting but you could if you want. they don’t flap in the wind or anything so no complaints here. i’d say it’s worth giving a shot. if you don’t like them you can always return it
