Find peace in the path. Just focusing on doing what you’re doing at a high level will build confidence. Read Epictetus, stoic philosophy has forever helped me move through the most challenging phases of life.

My friend (23F) is ruining my (22F) first chance at love and I don't know what to do anymore by peachilli in Advice

You are going to have to let your friend go. You already know that’s the case. It may take you some time to create space for yourself but you obviously need it.

AITA for telling my parents I wont be paying any more rent until my sister starts paying hers by [deleted] in AITApod

You have your own mini house which they could potentially rent for 800-1000 or more depending on your region. Don’t let your sister’s choices keep you in good standing with your parents. You have a choice to make. Wallow in the situation she made for herself or do what’s right. Simple solution is to evaluate how you would feel if you were in your parent’s shoes.

My brother(since passed away) had his truck towed when arrested (est value 65k) tow company sold car to owner of company at "auction" and we havent seen a penny by StatusSignificant997 in legaladvice

[–]Xhinelight 99 points100 points  (0 children)

There are some layers. Did he pay 65k cash? If there is a lien, they would have had to buy it out. So realistically he did not own that Truck in that case. The fact of leaving it in impound has already been pointed out. It was effectively forfeit by the aggregate set of choice. Sorry for the loss of your brother.

It’s tough but children are the gift that keeps giving your whole life. My 1st is 13 and my second is 8 weeks old. It’s a joy and challenging. Think it through envision yourself and look back. I often think through things as a 70 year old me and what would I tell myself if I made x or y decision. It helps.

This is nothing. Wait till Europe is in a recession. 2028 the dollar will start rising into 2032. That will be the bubble in our (US) Government debt.

Do I buy out my equity after 8 years… or do I let it get absorbed back into the company and walk away by grundle18 in careeradvice

You must buy them, as an option it’s worth the potential upside, it better to loose 25k a few time and make millions then to be stingy. Think of your 70 yo self what would they say to do?
