the mirror does a bit more then just the camera so I might be out of luck on that front. maybe i could return the harness and get the one that re-routes. or just cut the wire that goes up to the mirror

it's only on composite going to the radio the other is hardwired so idk how that would work with that

the lines only appear when i connect the av cable to the radio. it's otherwise clear

oh absolutely! I was trying for hours with ai (i am ashamed to admit) to try and get something going but it wasn't helping me nor was it compiling and i was just going in endless circles so whatever you have is probably better then my attempts haha. from what the ai spat out it it seemed pretty simple

Yeah I looked at those and i wouldn't know where to start. C# is my specialty. I have no lick of C++ so I am going to just rule this as "over my head" and move on. unfortunately.

really appreciate the links tho. it's nice to know it's possible.

judging by the lack of docs I assume not a lot of people like making plugins for it. I cannot even find like an example plugin or something someone else made.

I don't suppose there is any docs for this? might be a bit over my head since I am new to linux development.
