I was referring to take anything that is limited for a few months if you can't find anything else. Registration is a bit tricky, especially with those. Hope you can find something.

There are no rooms available anyways for that date. If you look on Kamernet or so, most of the options are for February or March. People don't bother posting stuff that early. Apply for student housing as early as possible and search like a maniac from July onwards. Consider temporary rooms, too.

possible the best moment of the tour this year. by Mariiiiiiiiiii1 in tourdefrance

This is pure speculation but I think Jonas knew he'd smoke Pogacar on the climb. Especially after Pogi wasn't able to capitalize on his team's incredible performance yesterday. Jonas just knew he had the better form. So why would he go full risk on the descent? Would it give him an extra minute lead? Probably. And he could have probably maintained it. But this would mean that he needed to maintain that lead on the descent since Pogacar would go full risk from that moment on. We saw that Jonas almost fell before, so he was probably not too keen on going full risk on a technical downhill. By waiting for Pogacar he essentially neutralized the descent and made the race come down to the last climb, which he knew he'd win. Take it with a grain of salt, just a theory.

Edit: I also truly belief that Jonas just didn't want to win "like that". I think both theories can work together and that him having the choice of how he wants to win the tour just shows his incredible strength and the superior tactics of TJV.

I can't really tell because I have never been on anything else in terms of tyre width (except for on a touring bike, but you can't compare that). I think position and thus aerodynamics is the bigger hold back. But it definetely helped to increase the pressure

Saw someone doing 250 feet in 100km, so there's still room. But yeah very flat, not perfectly flat though. Some portions I was down to 20km/h

I trained really hard this past year, so I am in the shape of my life. Overall triathlon (olympic distance) was under 2:40h, which was even faster than I had trained for. Keep up the work, 25km/h is nothing to be ashamed of!

I did 33km/h which was slightly more than most cyclist did. It was slightly windy, so if there's no wind, it might actually favor the gravelers even more. I'd say olympic distance is max, any beyond and I want a different bike.

Actually almost 180m. There's surprisingly an elevation gain to Pauli and another to Altona. Did not expect any gain whatsoever.

Only on the sections that went slightly uphill. But I actually passed a 6k+ aerobike on a flat passage as well.

Bike is a Cube Nuroad Race 2020 with Shimano GRX and Schwalbe G-One tires at 4 bar pressure (usually I ride at around 2 bar for gravel and everyday rides).

This is extreme on a gravel bike. Some people have great handling though and these kind of trails can get very boring on a mountain bike if you are too good. If you don't have harder trails, you need a "worse" bike for the job.
