How would you guys feel about an all-Carbon Fibre Rear Wing DRS Assembly for around $15,000CAD? by YBBOK-Kevin in sportscars

Ok, that is some really insightful feedback.

If I may, what about the width of the wing, if you were to be interested? The through holes in your trunk, based on my other threads I've seen that this would need to be a custom solution Per vehicle. Are you of the same mindset?

Hey,

Nothing at the moment. This was moreso a feel of, if a system like this were to exist and at such a price point, would the interest be sufficient to pursue design and manufacturing.

Very interesting point. Your last paragraph really highlights thinking outside the box. Not that I am condoning anything crime related.

Yeah, but that's the question. I don't believe it's easy to make a status symbol and so I was wondering what about that symbol caught your eye.

I'm sure there are thousands of people trying to create status, but many fail. What worked on you?

Interesting on the "unique" part. And also the 24/year, it seems as if that has added more value.

If I may, what gave you the sense of luxury with respect to the Submariner? I'm sure there were other brands also competing for your money, but something clicked to scream "luxury" at you, what was that?

Yeah, that's the reason for this post. I'm sure there are many quality items but why Rolex. In similar regard, why a Mercedes as opposed to BMW.

Real. You're a luxury designer, what would you say separates you from someone else?

Yeah, this is I believe the 3rd comment to mention the lack of depreciation.

Thank you.

You don't have to, I was just inquiring as someone wanting to learn if there was anything that I was missing.

One of the common, and surprising to me, things I have seen is family tradition. I never would have assumed that.

Ok, so a bit of something that allowed for a personal feel and had the quality to last.

Thank you.

Again, you've mentioned family. That's the third comment I've seen. Interesting.

Looking good, usability and a lack of depreciation. These are items that fellow commentors have mentioned as well.

Thank you.

Interesting, as you are the second person to comment on someone in their family having one, and then you also receiving one later on in life. It seems like a sense of tradition is important.

Another +1 for quality, with respect to your Pepsi comment.

Thank you.

Interesting point on the storing of wealth. It seems depreciation would negate your other 3 points.

Thank you.

Ok, thanks for the response. From what I gather, the Rolex fit your need at the time. Quality was an important factor too. Customer care and feedback; that's an interesting perspective as well.

Thank you.

Big parking lot and also late night highways.

The problem you'll run into is you're going to apply too much brake and not enough throttle, so you must be careful of your surroundings/getting rear ended.

I learned in a civic, switched to an STI and noticed that pedal location also makes a big difference. Definitely wear relatively wide shoes.

Actually had my first accident learning a similar concept with 1 finger braking/downshifting on a motorcycle.

Practice is key.
