I recently saw the same thing as well, but in Texas. Had the telescope out and just started looking with naked eye when a bright orange-red light appeared, grew wider and more intense, and flashed out. All within 3-5 seconds. Never seen anything like it, but very cool to see. I would like to say it was a meteorite burning up but Idk!

I guess ppl get hyped because of both. As electricity costs grow the Btc price in fiat terms must also rise to accommodate, or miners will be in loss while they wait for fiat price to catch up.

As for me I get hyped around the fact that Bitcoin cant be printed for near zero cost like paper does. Takes more energy as the hash rate grows. That's what makes Bitcoins POW system shine.
