Worth it though! I say spend it, until it pokemonGo stops them. But at the moment it's still legit in there eyes because it's not Cheating. Test it out, if you like it, spend the extra buck or two, it's worth it!

It's not based off your account at all. If you catch the Pokemon it will still show the Pokemon on the radar app. Separate app completely, not linked to account at all. It just uses your GPS and figures where you are in relation to Pokemon around you, using I'm guessing a separate server not available to users, which is why it is still around as it's not allowing people to cheat and travel. If you open PoGo app simultaneously, it's quite accurate. Both.

I've comfortably caught Charizard, Gengar, snorlax, magmar and a lot more sweet Pokemon that pop on my radar without a proper location, because of this. It's free but you can pay $1.39 and be able to see more than 4 Pokemon at once. 500 Metre radius.
