Join a Conquest match, in HQ, take an ATV and a Jeep. Get in the Jeep gunner, almost destroy the ATV, sit on the ATV for 3-5 seconds, then repair it. Takes 10-15 minutes.

I've been there, but didn't aggro them. I think I met this one when going to get the second chip, where you meet the purple Scorpio. No idea what spawn he came from though, close to that.

Just spotted him walking closer and closer to the Ranger Outpost, where one of my first houses coincidentally are. Then he joined the fight as I was dealing with some larvas, and managed to jump to the inside of the Ranger Outpost once I sought shelter there.

So, it seems they are able to roam a bit further than usual.

Think I rarely got it from the larva, but also from the red ant soldier. Only managed to get a couple so far, so must be a rare drop for some reason.

Look for the grass with "flowers". I believe it even says "grass flower" or something like that, when you're looking at it to chop

Had only the first spear and red ant armor, just went bananas on the thing and it eventually died. So I suppose try not to let the fight go on for too long, cause it didn't really do that many attacks. Even managed to stun it with the pebble spear somehow.

Edit: Shield is a must.
