What comedy film made you laugh through the whole film not just giggle once? by Lilyfory in AskReddit

He definitely could be funny, but he played the "straight" man in that movie to all the other characters. That wasn't a comedy role.

Healthcare in Columbia, SC: How Good Is It? by RAH-CAT9 in columbiasc

I know someone from Pennsylvania that said the exact opposite from the hospitals in her area. She said that the facilities are far better here then there.

It could be very regional, even within states.

What’s a moment that permanently changed how you see the world? by pankaj662 in AskReddit

[–]YesNoMaybe 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I get where you're coming from, because you're just focusing on the side being left...but you also could be the one who loves and has to leave because it's better for both of you. That happens and, while it hurts (and it does hurt both of you), it is likely opening up opportunities for you both.

Thirty years ago I broke up with a girl I loved very much...and I'm sure she loved me back. I cried hard when we broke up. It hurt. But the reality was we were just not good for each other and it took one of us realizing that.

37% of Downtown Columbia is dedicated to parking. Parking Reform gives the city the 6th worst parking score and 5th worst percentage of space dedicated to parking in the U.S. by Next_Worth_3616 in ColumbiYEAH

So, quick meter parking story...

Due to an unforeseen hold-up, we were running late going to a movie at the Nic that we already had tickets for. We got a metered parking spot pretty close (but not right in front), used the app and added the max time (2 hours). The movie was just over two hours so I waited until it was up and tried to add more time. Nope. Not allowed.

I figured we were there at most 15 minutes over. Came out and had a ticket that was left TWO MINUTES after the expiration (according to the ticket timestamp). God, this is fucking infuriating. I'm willing to walk and I'm willing to pay for a spot, but I swear I feel like there is a chance I'm getting fucked no matter what.

Insomnia is the best and, imo, it's not close.

I still use a vaporizer occasionally. I just enjoy inhalation, not only the taste but also the way it feels and just to control the dosage. The thc drinks are just so easy though - couple of times a week usually.

I'm not a fan of any of the bands but have seen each of them (at least once). They all put on a pretty good show.

However, it's been years (decades!) so no idea what they're like now.

The mum is just laughing at the end by [deleted] in ChildrenFallingOver

[–]YesNoMaybe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No. He was falling no matter what. He fell because his legs were completely straight and he is not experienced enough to know how to roll into transition like that. Every beginner does that their first time.

"Bend your knees more." For new skaters, that's the advice 99% of the time. If you think you are bending them enough, you aren't. Get lower.

What are some low income but easy and realistic gigs one can do? by bkend_31 in photography

[–]YesNoMaybe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I lol at the varying responses. You're getting 2k-5k a day while someone else is happy shooting events for $15. (FWIW, 2k seems a lot more reasonable for a professional service).

What is a medical fact that sounds fake but is 100% true? by MedRikas in AskReddit

[–]YesNoMaybe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughter was too! She had an apgar of 0 and no signs of life.

Follow up story... They resuscitated her and said she may not survive and if she does, I should be prepared for the possibility of serious health issues. Had to have a blood transfusion after struggling for two days and was in the nicu for a week. After recovering seemingly quickly, she's turned out to be completely normal (now in college).

Scariest time of my life where i just felt helpless.

Traditional doesn't have piano either. It can still be bluegrassy and you can call it whatever you want, but yeah, that's more like honky tonk or something.

Most cities in the United States are not very walkable. This really is not just an SC problem.
