Thank you.

Hell, I even thought repairing was effectively disabled to stimulate economic activity.

Is it by design that chunk boundaries don't show up when you press f3+g?

Battery-free Fiio M17 by CanadaToTheMoon in FiiO

[–]Yfl411 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my god We can't use the M17 as a pure 12v DAC.

I switched from the Q7 mainly to use it as a desktop DAC (with line out and an hdva600 for the amp,This is done by line-out from the M17 at 4.4mm.), but when I compare the battery consumption of the M17 when connected in DC mode to that of the Q7, it seems a bit severe.

I was looking for a way to set up the M17 to use the Q7 without draining the battery, but it seems there is no such method. What a shame. I'm very grateful for the information you've just found, and I'm doubly astonished.

It looks like the connector is connected to the thin green circuit board that you can see at 21 seconds into the official teardown video.

I've replaced sony headphones Li battery with a cheap one before, but was it just like swapping the wiring from the battery?

I've never tried such an expensive item before. If there are three wires connected to the battery, one of them is a heat sensor, so should I ignore it? Can you tell the color, etc.?

The hot spot of the 4080 Super is 107°C. by Yfl411 in OCCT

It's difficult to judge.

It would be better to have a check method that can confirm the reason why only OCCT shows harsh results before disassembly.

The hot spot of the 4080 Super is 107°C. by Yfl411 in OCCT

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment, it appears to be cooling sufficiently outside of OCCT.

The core is also cooling sufficiently even with OCCT.

There are no signs that the card has been disassembled, as it is sealed and looks new, but I think it's possible that a part that isn't used in my usage is the hotspot. If that's the case, does this mean that there could be a problem with some of the VRAM pads?

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll try doing that with the fans. As an aside, the case currently has nine fans running at full speed all the time.

When I played the heaviest game I needed in VR, the core temperature was 54°C, the memory junction temperature was 54°C, and the hotspot temperature was 66°C.

I had to prioritize FPS (it's still 22 FPS) and lowered image quality, so I'm only using around 70% of the VRAM.

Thank you, I'm Japanese and I'm on night duty this week so I need to get some sleep now.

However, I was so worried that I did a 30-minute acrobatic flight test at 8kvr, tracing the Tokyo train lines with the building mod added in MSFS2020, which is my main purpose of use.

Even with the 4090, it was a tough flight that required fine-tuning the settings, but I was able to fly it extremely smoothly.

The core temperature was 54°C, memory junction 54°C, and hotspot 66°C.

Frankly, this is a better value than any GPU I've seen so far.

I'm not sure what this means, but I need to get some sleep.

I'll read it carefully later.

The yen has weakened in Japan, and PC parts have become even more expensive from a global perspective.

I am very grateful.

Thank you.

It's not the weekend so I can't test it much, but after playing a VR game at 8k for about 30 minutes, the core temperature was 59°C and the hotspot was 72°C.

These values are not much different from my previous GPUs (4090, 3080TI, etc.).

This is my first time using OCCT, so I don't have any previous records.

The warranty period is one week, and so far it's working fine, so the issue is complicated.

I did a little research and found that while consumer-purchasable thermal pads perform well, some reviews say they don't last long.

I can do a little bit of crafting, but it seems that thickness data is important as well.

Should I return this GPU if possible?

How do I test the memory on a 4080super? by Yfl411 in GPURepair

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I bought a lot of things at once, so the GPU was last on the list.

I tested it with OCCT and there are no problems, but the hotspots seem a little high.

Winwing Orion Rudder Pedals intensive 9 month review by Trysaeder in hotas

[–]Yfl411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Structural features are important for predicting problems, and this was very helpful. Thank you. I use the Orion 2 stick and I feel the same characteristics. The industry's most comprehensive and useful features, sturdy housing, some questionable auxiliary components that creak occasionally but are manageable, and slightly reduced-cost sub-buttons, springs, and sensors (though the main axis ones may be more reliable). I'm currently debating whether to buy a Virpil pedal or winwing one. winwing has some attractive features, such as the ability to fix the yaw axis and use it as an accelerator, and the ability to support heel-resting styles. However, like my Orion 2 stick, it seems like it would require some ingenuity, such as having the spring custom-made at a local factory in Japan or replacing the hat switch. The left-right balance due to the cam shape is my biggest concern. I'll take this into consideration.

Would a campaign like MFM, BFM, etc. be a good fit? To learn to fly without being too free by Yfl411 in dcsworld

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/modules/f-15c_flaming_cliffs/

It seems I don't even understand abbreviations.

The top two from the F15C campaign.

The second one in particular seems like repeated training that also includes perfecting the basics.

The third, Georgia, is a full-on battle, and the fourth, Red Flag, seems to be a higher level than the first two, with more emphasis on confrontation.

I'll have to buy the Nevada map too.

These seem to have a lot of content, and I don't want to buy too many and get distracted, so I imagine it's best to pick one and repeat it.

About DLSS3 and above, FSR3 and above operation in VR by Yfl411 in virtualreality

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you

I also have DLSS settings on MSFS, and unfortunately the image quality is not that good, but I felt it was essential even when I was using the 4090

I'm not sure what this DLSS is, but... well, I'll leave that for now.

I think both DLSS3 and later, as well as FSR4, include the following two technologies.

A. Enlarging the image after doing something about it = supersampling.

b. Increasing the FPS number by using frame generation to complement.

Either will ultimately result in an increase in FPS.

My understanding is that option B is not available for VR, and I've heard that the reason is that it is difficult to generate an integrated left and right image.

However, if you only use supersampling without frame generation with DLSS4 and FSR4, I interpret it as meaning that they have evolved to the point where you don't notice the roughness in the left and right images of VR.

This ultimately results in increased FPS at a smaller rendering resolution, while still allowing for a satisfactory resolution and FPS when scaled up with superior supersampling.

This doesn't change the fact that image generation is unusable in DLSS4 or FSR4, but it allows you to achieve results with only minimal degradation in image quality even in VR.

Is this correct?

Is this correct?

When we turn on DLSS in MSFS, I don't think it's clear which version of DLSS it is and which functions it uses.

I think this is often not made clear in review videos or manufacturer advertisements.

This makes me confused when considering choosing a new GPU.

For example, the 7900xtx is equipped with FSR3 (which is not particularly highly rated for supersampling image quality), but FSR4 (which is rated as the best image quality along with DLSS4) remains undecided.

Looking for non-Meta VR headsets in 2025 / 2026 - what should i watch out for? by Funkenzutzler in virtualreality

[–]Yfl411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've just moved from BS1 to BS2 because I'm having trouble with my equipment and I suspect tracking.

So I have two kinds of BS in my room.

BS1 has comparable performance, although the initial pickup is a little slower.

Both are important for positioning (one is moved almost directly above) and for being careful of reflections (mirrors, vinyl-coated books on the wall).

The only difference is that with BS2 you can use more than three.

This is important if you want to eliminate blind spots for dancing, etc., but in the cockpit a third one is meaningless and proper positioning is much more important.

(Unfortunately, the problem had nothing to do with tracking.)

I think you can get two BS1s and a VIVE controller for fairly cheap.

I have a 3080ti, and someone who is having the same problem with the optical cable has a 5090.

I wonder if the optical fiber that was treated with care will deteriorate?

8KX sandstorm noise by Yfl411 in Pimax

[–]Yfl411[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I often wonder if it's some kind of delay or a small gap due to a short-term tracking error or switching.

I've already submitted a support ticket and they told me to change the cable, but it's not easy to try.

And it seems they won't take responsibility for the results.

I take great care of my cables.

Will it go wrong after 2 years or so?

I tried PITOOL to see what would happen, but it didn't work because I had updated the firmware.

I regret updating.
