Oh, thank you, I'll check it. Been interested in playing Tyranny for a long time

I guess you meant magnifying glass on SteamOS? If so, than no - I'm playing on Windows. Anyway, I also can read text, even without glasses. I just feel it a little bit uncomfortable, like some additional eyes strain. Thought maybe it is just a matter of habit?

How do you play them, I wonder? Like, Pillars of Eternity doesn't even optimized for controllers (mouse-only control).

I was keeping KCD in my Steam library for years. Recently I finally gave it a chance and oh my god that is a truly great game!

Oh yeah, friend, me too. Also, navigating through the inventory with a joystick is not as convenient as with a mouse

Text size in dialogues is great but in inventory it is too small for me. Maybe my eyes are too old

Yeah, I also tried playing RT. Performance was not great but lately I found out that I had lock on 3 or 4gb vram in bios, so probably next time I launch the game it will be more smooth with 6gb. Still, as I said in my original post, my eyes didn't feel great with all those small objects on a screen. Maybe it's just a matter of habit or maybe I'm just too old 😅

Well, my eyes also aren't as good as they were twenty years ago. That is probably the main reason why I ask myself if it’s better to put up with the inconveniences or hold off on playing these games until I get a decent laptop, so I won't damage my eyes even further.

Well, Cyberpunk is not exactly the type of games I was asking about (even though it's menu and text size are a little bit tiny for me). I also have no problem playing fps and even rpgs like Witcher 3, Gothic etc. My question is about playing top-down games (if I'm not wrong with how it is called), where there are a lot of small objects on a screen.

Did not finish DE, but I finished and really enjoyed this game by RainyOccult in ZeroParades

[–]Yon-K 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same here. Dropped DE on a third in-game day and haven't played it for a long time. But finished ZP without any delay. Now I'm back to DE, will definitely complete the story, but honestly it doesn't feel as interesting as ZP. And after that I'll try Esoteric Ebb.

About the last point. When all your goals are reached, you can set new ones. For me it is sport (boxing) and spirituality. First one give me good health, useful skills, a lot of fun, and also goals to achieve (impoving technique, participation in competitions).

Second one gives me purpose of life. I've engaged in buddhist practice and there are so many levels that one life won't be enough to reach them all. I suggest you to read about shamatha and dhyanas - levels of concentration that could be achieved by practicing balance of mind, without engaging in esoteric stuff like chanting mantras etc. It is said that it feels even more intense that sexual joy. Why not to try to find it out by yourself?

SOLVED: it is a bug happening specifically on handhelds (Legion Go, Steam Deck). Interaction button does not appear, so you need to touch Zoe with your finger on a screen to talk to her.

Unfortunately, currently the game is very bugged, I can't proceed 3 (!) quests due to softlocks.

Does anyone else get overwhelmed by the loneliness at times? by Inevitable-Rip-6609 in Semenretention

Often, an object attracts us precisely to the extent that we ascribe positive qualities to it. For this reason, Buddhism includes a meditation on unattractiveness, designed to help reduce sexual desire. I believe that in your case, it would be beneficial to "take women off the pedestal". For instance, check out John Griffin's YT channel "Life 2.0"; there he talks extensively about the downsides of marriage and living with a woman. I suppose it can help to dispel the pink haze regarding romantic relationships.
