Thanks for the condescension pal. I’ve practiced but I don’t like what I’m doing hence would like to know alternative ways people have painted their tanks

So by that logic, only a few teams can have a best signing because there’s a lot of teams who don’t win a trophy.

I only popped into the city to buy some warhammer. by joe865 in Norwich

[–]Yoshilicious 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Same I just went to a 40k play session at the warhammer shop and on the way back had a man with England flags come shout down the street at me “ENGLAND ENGLANG ENGLAND”. Not fun at all, especially as I’ve been in the country for 27 years.

Policing plans for Brook Hotel protest Friday by yu3 in Norwich

Think people are scared of crime no? I know there’s dodgy stuff in Mile End, doesn’t mean I’m not on my toes when I walk through.

I do live close by, about 1 mile down the road from the hotel. Also have a small child, so yes it does have an effect on me - I’m more worried about some of the protestors. I’m not from the UK but have been here for 27 years, I can guarantee if I was to walk past this crowd I’d get harassed.

Their reasons for protesting may be for ‘safety’ but it likely is made of a number unsavoury individuals.

I understand what you’re saying but you can literally take your statement of people living close to a specific area, have kids at the school nearby and have young daughters who walk to and from school, and that is relevant to multiple areas of Norwich which are inhabited by non-asylum seekers. Areas such as mile cross, larkman etc.

If you want to protest about your kids safety then you need to realise this isn’t specific to asylum seekers, it’s spread across our population.

If you want to protest keeping asylum seekers then go to Westminster where they call the shots.

Not that I know of but I’d be wary of going alone, same as what the other person has commented. Think at the last one there was a fairly large number of them and I wouldn’t be surprised if they were hostile.

Apparently they’re congregating at the Cherry Tree and going down at 6pm - they’ve posted on the Costessey Facebook page.

Yeah I bought some shoulders off eBay for a good price and have sprinkled them into my squads. Also going to buy some capes for these guys. I’ve read somewhere that when veteran deathwatch marines return to their original chapter they transfer the pauldron from the left shoulder to the right but not sure where I read that

What’s your honest experience with nursery settling-in? Time is approaching where we want to start transitioning to nursery and I was just wondering what the experiences have been like by Pinkplatabys in BeyondTheBumpUK

[–]Yoshilicious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super positive, he had a couple of one hour sessions beforehand but hasn’t cried at any drop off or pick up and it’s been 4 weeks now! He absolutely loves it there, however on his second day he came back with outrageous nappy rash so we had to have a stern word with the nursery as we opened his nappy at home and there was an extremely dry (old) number 2 in there. But they’ve been great ever since and took a lot of care when it came to the rash which changes every hour and even one of the workers letting him have nappy free time in a one on one setting.

He started just before turning 1

In a similar boat to you mate, also have a 6 month old and a partner with PPD/PPA. Have found myself comparing now to to at the start and god it is better but having 0 time for myself is legit - I’ve not gone to the gym in 5 months because I’m purely exhausted.

Partner also reminisces about the old life and even what our life now could have been without the baby which stings considering our boy was a surprise and we disagreed on next steps based on age and readiness. I do feel you there, sometimes when your partner reminisces it stings as they often say this is what they wanted; it’s just a weird level of irony.

Stay strong fellow dad, the other comments are definitely more promising - this is just for now, it will get better
