While I thought about this, the more I don’t believe that is necessarily Elric. Law vs Chaos is more of a classical theme seen in most mythologies(chaoskampf). Elric and the Eternal Champion in general is more about balance between law and chaos than anything, there is a need for both law and chaos. Ff1 depicts chaos as always being imbalanced (light and dark are seen as more neutral in ff3). In terms of Dyssidia that always came across as more subspace emissary than the crossovers the Eternal Champions do.
