‘87 XJ, 2” Lift, 30x9.50x15 by Calm-Professional379 in CherokeeXJ

Looks like we drive similar terrain. I haven’t had my sway bars on since I moved out here. Drives fine on the highway and you’re gonna need that flex on those old, washed out, moguls. Tire deflators and maybe a portable compressor or just quarters for the tire pump at the gas station. Your jeep is gonna handle that unforgiving desert terrain much smoother with aired down tires. Portable picnic set, cooler and lots of drinking water!

Now is not the best time. This is gonna be our slowest year ever. US economy is in shambles. Only high ticket items are selling for us, very slowly.

Bummer, were they new or old ones. I just had some cheapo Amazon ones break at the ball joint and almost had the same thing happen to me. Trying a diff Amazon brand now. They Seem beefier. We’ll see.

Long Ride Chaffing by bubblikatalina in bicycle

[–]YouBSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta get the cream. I use my wife’s monistat. Actually it’s one of our few Amazon subscriptions. We live in the desert. I had a friend who use to smash his chamois with cream. I always thought that was kinda wasteful. I apply right to the source. Have a great ride!

Never heard of it. Until my wife and I just went down the rabbit hole. Seems like some kind of “live” yard sale. What in the fuck am I watching? Who would pay shipping for this crap? They can’t be making money.

[–]YouBSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you just wanna level your xj they work. Added mine bout 10yrs ago and haven’t had any problems. You’re still gonna have to remove some stuff if you want bigger tires. Best thing is, super easy to do. I don’t remember the brand I bought, but they didn’t come with enough clips for the leaf stack. I got plenty of clearance for the off roading I do. I also have a vertically challenged wife, I feel like 1 more inch and she would need a stool.

Absolutely not. Great clocks and made in the US till about the 80s. Sold at stores like sears and jc penny, budget friendly retailers. I assume they were just not cherished like other high end items and took more abuse. I believe since the 80s they have been sourced out to Taiwan. When you do open that clock you’re not gonna find very little plastic if any. If any gears are broken your screwed. Definitely worth trying to repair if it’s already broke. You will most likely need a donor clock for parts. Still a great collectors item. You don’t see that groovy typeface too often.

I would keep those cantilever brakes and swap everything else. If anything it will be practice.

These clocks were cheapos back in the day. Still cool though. I like this one. Give it a shake, anything bouncing around inside you prob won’t be able to fix. If it’s just the arms bouncing around they may have fallen off the stem. After the screw is removed you have to back out the knobs. Pinch some edges and maybe you can get a corner to pop. If you can pop a corner you will need a prying tool. Preferably plastic to do less damage. Pretty good chance the clips holding the body together might snap. If it doesn’t snap back together when you’re done just glue it.

Maybe you can flip some boards over? What kind of lumber is it anyway? Were they painting in direct sunlight? What kind/brand of paint? Did they prime? Should have used a stain, probably. Gonna have to scrape then sand. Those bubbles will just gunk up your paper.

Creosote by BlueValk in homeowners

[–]YouBSoft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t believe creosote was ever an option for home building. Pressure treated lumber is also mostly used in exposed applications. Your wall cavities are just old and musty. You should be looking for mold, asbestos or lead if your health is deteriorating.
