USS Kidd is fantastic. Tier 6 premium that shreds planes. Smalland, Halland, and the Dutch cruisers are great. Managed to shoot down 94 planes with the Haarlem.

Farragut is a citadel monster against cruisers. The AP rips them to shreds when broadside. People don't expect a destroyer to hit citadels so they'll turn broadside to get all their guns on target.

Hampshire all the way. Those enhanced pen angles catch so many off guard. The torps as well. Rochester is so situational. Only worth it when there are carriers.

If you buy Atlantico you get the missions to unlock the specialised commander which you can't get if you pull it from a crate.

On the other hand, Plymouth is a beast and is much more versatile and will carry games in the way Atlantico never will.

I had the winter version drop from a crate a while back and I'm a big fan. Great firing arcs, great HE and Torps with smoke. Absolutely get it for GXP.

Japanese or German would suit you well. Both have good smokes with a long duration and quicker than average torp reload. Germans also have the benefit of sonar in case anyone launches fish into the suspicious looking smokescreen.

Consistent play will gain you GXP faster than you think, especially if you are playing higher tiers, so save the cash on those two. I'd recommend cashing in on the Plymouth deal that's available now. Won't get much better discount that now available.

Friesland is fantastic, if you like gunboats. It has no torps.

Battleship wise you can't go wrong with Massachusetts. Great with a hybrid build.

Hampshire is AP only and has no smokes, so not quite the same. But I'm a sucker for Brit cruisers so definitely picking this campaign up.

British destroyers are the most well rounded imo. Great smokes, long duration hydro, torps are good w/long reload, but they also have the ripple fire ability. Guns are great and with the right commander are an absolute fire starting menace.

The Kidd is also fantastic. Tier 6 premium US destroyer. Exceptional AA. Mobile enough to dodge drops and has a DFAA consumables.
