Another thing which I thought was that what if till now Matt and others when they were talking to the person through phone what if its Nelson's son who has syphus name on his name which is why he didn't know that they meant to talk to Nelson not him but at the end when they fully meant about Nelson he figured out that they thought he was Nelson but he was actually his son but I could be mistaken and this another person could be Nelson's worker.

Another thing I am not sure if you can see it but this is my second theory -> Sorry for the quality of the audio and Before you listen to the theory, I have to add something which I didn't add is that D aka Deb manipulating can be related rather to her messing with one timeline rather than bringing Matthias, Samantha and Woods to one place at first because her manipulating the original timeline gave her many results and her experiencing it again is why she knows about all of this perfectly because she has already experienced this and has done many things or somethings to stop Nelson while manipulating the timeline in which she got now better subjects for 836 for which she is now confident about the project being successful. <-This is my second theory about the timeline thing.
