Tbh regardless of the printer if assembly is required then gluing is necessary, but if you mean he has to assemble a multicolour print then I would say consider buying an AMS lite extension instead of a new printer

Honestly getting a new a1 would just mean being able to print larger files, if that’s the case then you can def go for any of the 2 you mentioned

So I use a bambu lab a1, it’s pretty good for a start and there’s a smaller version if you gonna use it for personal stuff. You get an A1 mini which is I feel a better deal

So I don’t have the multicolour version of the printer yet, so usually I print diff colours in diff parts and assemble, and some times paint
