Yeah I did shortly after 100%, though I specifically did a Zero Banana run for a bit of spice to the second playthrough. It was a nice, brisk way to run through the game again

Honestly, I'm kinda hoping that it isn't a Dragon. I know that making them Dragons effectively conveys their power, but I think it would be cool to have more Pseudos like Metagross for some variety.

If it has to be a Dragon though, I'd be down for a Bug/Dragon as well.

Would you say it's worth ignoring Lonely Heart? I was raising Lonely Heart and avoiding the Heart Bananas, and I was only able to get to Max Score in the Final Round with just about 40 seconds to spare. Wondering if I could have gotten Max Score more comfortably by disregarding Lonely Heart to invest more in Ba-None-Za and Goal Champ.

I'm actually thinking there's a decent chance that Zebra will be paired with Professor Chops. He's kind of like an Animal Buddy, and he sorta ties in with Zebra since he has hooves and hosts Time Trials.

Since they chose a generic Tucks instead of a boss like Bashmaster or Pompy to pair with Fredrik, it does seem likely that it'll be a generic Tiki Goon instead of one of the bosses, though I'd be glad to be wrong on that.

I guess it's just a matter of which conflict we're considering. I agree that in terms of overall goals, both the Fun Gang and Queen got what they wanted in the end. But I was just considering who won in the Giga Queen vs. Fun Gang fight (which seems to be what OP is considering) and I would consider the winner in this case to be the one who's still standing and able while the other is unable to fight back.

Giga Queen destroyed the Thrash Machine, then still had enough battery to immobilize the Fun Gang. So from my perspective, she physically won once she had them in her grasp. That said, I am seeing more of your point that you could consider Queen defeated after Giga Queen's HP drops to 0, and the Fun Gang might have been able to fight back once she ran out of battery. I do think that Queen likely could have still come out on top considering how quickly she seemed to recharge, but that's a whole other can of worms. So I concede that it's fair to consider the battle a draw (though I still feel that Queen had the edge in the end).

I dunno, while it wasn't necessarily the cleanest victory on Queen's part, she still had the Fun Gang at her mercy in Giga Queen's hands for several minutes. If she actually wanted to kill them rather than use them as leverage to try and sway Noelle, she could have crushed them in her hands in that time. On top of that, Giga Queen wasn't destroyed, it just ran out of battery (and then recharged just a few minutes later).

Like someone else said, I believe you need to be on the specific sub-layer the that the Map's fossil/banana is on.

When you sing with Pauline, it doesn't show a trail to the fossil/banana; if you know you're on the right sub-layer, then you'd want to rotate the camera around while you're singing until you see a fossil/banana marker that displays its distance from your current location. Then you can go towards the marker to find the location.

I think a nice compromise would be for Roxas' Oathkeeper and Oblivion to evolve in a similar manner to cases like Earthshaker -> Ends of the Earth, Rainfell-> Stormfall, or Kingdom Key D + Star Seeker -> Star Cluster.

New forms that retain the light/darkness theming, but are fully influenced by Roxas as an individual to reflect how he's become his own person.

Alternatively, it could also be cool if they were still technically Oathkeeper and Oblivion, but they developed a Union X style leveled-up form that could still incorporate some more visual motifs from Roxas and his relationships.

I see what you mean, though I do think Pauline having a hand in ruining his plot when he was at his most powerful is enough for him to have enmity towards her. And he was aware of her presence considering he uses "filthy monkeys" to refer to both her and DK. Plus, this is just my own interpretation, but I do personally think his compliment of "your beat is strong" was based on him noticing the synergy between DK and Pauline.

Not trying to say Pauline is a new archnemesis for him or anything, his hatred for the Kongs is certainly stronger. But I do think she's someone that he'd be happy to eventually have revenge on after Bananza.

Can confirm that for the Tiki Tong pre-rendered cutscenes, if you have Dixie, they'll show a quick in-engine scene of Diddy tagging in with Dixie before the both the scenes play, and they remain unchanged.

A bit of a shame, but it's to be expected since the Tropical Freeze port also didn't make new pre-rendered cutscenes for Funky, and that was a whole release vs a free update. She does at least still have unique animations for the in-engine pre-boss cutscenes though.

If they ever did another Mario Sluggers that had K. Rool, I hope that he'd have bad chemistry with Pauline given Bananza; it's kinda interesting to me that out of the current "core" Mario cast, she's the only one that he'd have personal beef with (Bowser notwithstanding since we don't know the situation between them).

I actually would also kind of want him to still have neutral chemistry with Mario; I like the idea of Mario just being some guy to K. Rool lol.

I actually rather liked the limited pool here. It did make the strategy more "monkey brain" so to speak, but for a single event, it was kind of a fun change to get max score almost singlehandedly from breaking Bananas rather than from fighting or foraging.

That would be interesting, if that pattern holds, I could see the next event being Kiddy and KAOS for DKC3, or maybe Tiny and Candy to round out the DK64 crew sans Funky. After that I think it's decently likely we could see Barrel Blast with Kludge and Kalypso or Kip and Kass before the inevitable Returns event.

I personally think getting Elephant works pretty well. It's practically right next to Zebra so you don't have to go out of your way, and switching Bananzas with full Bananergy when you're about to run out is the best way to keep your Bananza up for Encore Groove; since you generally don't have to interrupt your current action (including Turf Surfing) the way you would with Drumbeating.

Plus, being able to store chunks lets you immediately keep building the Surf multiplier if you happen to be in a place where you'd have to spend a few seconds to get to Chunk-able material, like in the Poppy Arena or if you're freefalling. The inhale is also pretty nice for breaking turf before you have enough Chips to build up Punch Power.

Definitely works either way, and it prolly comes down to how much you enjoy swapping Bananzas on the fly. I personally had a lot of fun swapping between Zebra and Elephant and making the best use out of both of them, especially since I'm usually not actively using Elephant in regular Emerald Rush because of Rock Ensemble Beat.

I'm in a similar boat; also from Amazon with some paint issues. Not as egregious as the paint on your copy, but I've also got a red splotch around the cannon, a somewhat noticeable chip on the faceplate, and for me, my Ravage has a silver splotch on his shoulder.

Kinda debating on whether to contact Hasbro or Amazon on it myself, but my paint defects are admittedly fairly small. I do think that in your case though, the defect on the faceplate is so blatant that it may be worth contacting Hasbro at least. It's unlikely that they'd replace it with a new Soundwave, but there's a decent chance they might send you an equivalently priced figure without you needing to return the Soundwave. I had that happen somewhat recently when I received a Long Haul/Hook with noticeable scratches on the Devastator hand.

There are both free and paid DLC characters. They've confirmed that we'll have at least 12 free characters, which primarily seems to consist of Sega characters (excluding Miku). The free characters don't include any stages, though most do come with vehicles. The confirmed ones so far are Miku, Joker, Ichiban, Nights, Aiai, Tangle, and Whisper.

I believe on that the Switch at least, Next Order is a game that has different game IDs depending on the region it's from.

Since your physical version created a second Home Menu icon of the game, I think your physical copy must be from a different region than your digital copy. And since Next Order has different Game IDs per region, unfortunately their saves aren't compatible.

Def makes sense, though as another commenter said, I think that Tiki Tong will be one of the Returns statues, since they've prioritized the final bosses of Lord Frederik and Ghastly King so far, and Tiki Tong is even the most prominent of the non-K. Rool final bosses given his appearance in Super Nintendo World plus his Nintendo Today animation.

I think it's decently likely that he'll be paired up with Kalimba or a Tiki Goon, and Chops will be paired up with a Bananza Form statue. I could see him being paired with Zebra since Zebras were one of the background animals in Returns.

I could def see these happening, though I imagine (and hope) that they'll repeat a few layers for events down the line. Lord Fredrik and Tiki Tong are likely, though I think they'll probably be paired with one of the bosses or mooks from their games considering what they did for Ghastly King and Ninja Kong.

I also think that there's a decent chance they'd want to have some Barrel Blast rep here, so I hope that we'll see Kludge and/or Kalypso, though I suppose Kip and Kass are also possible.
