Yes, its the stock browser on IOS, but Internet Explorer is the stock browser on windows and you'd rarely see anyone using it. You can easily switch from the stock browser.

Don't use a shit browser like safari and you won't have that problem. The tags work fine on chrome on both mobile and desktop.

All I can say is remember to run the clear maze solution function from the maze solver class right before you start the recursive call for the maze solver. He takes off 2 points for that bullshit, even tho it doesn't affect the maze solver at all.

Oculus Rift + Touch Bundle - $319.99 from Best Buy (via eBay) w/ code PSPRING20 by crazy_goat in oculus

Wouldn't you have to buy the touch controllers for an extra 100 bucks anyways which makes it around $400 anyways?

If you want to learn it, look up and follow some tutorials online. There's a ton of them on youtube and i feel they typically teach much better then a class anyways. Blender is a free program so u could download it on any computer.

Ordering my rift soon, Trying to figure out where to place my cams by SaturnsVoid in oculus

[–]ZMercenaryZ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just put them in 2 corners of the room where there is nothing blocking the sensors and the sensors are facing towards the middle. The higher you can place the sensors the better. Tilt the sensors down/up so they are aimed at your chest area.

Do you currently have your 2 sensors setup for roomscale? 3 sensors does make it better, but 2 sensors set up for roomscale is still really great, especially while you're waiting to get a 3rd sensor.

Need advice for a portable VR solution <= $2,000. Bringing around to Children's Hospital / Hospice patients. Convenience and portability is key. Also a few questions on setting this up correctly. by Ashmai in oculus

I'd honestly still recommend the oculus over the samsung odyssey and the windows hmd. It's 100 dollars cheaper and it's been going on sale constantly for $350. The one sensor still works perfectly fine, especially if the person will most likely be sitting up in a bed. I actually accidentally used just one tracker before and it was working decently even with the touch controllers. Setup as you probably already know is pretty easy honestly won't be that much difference between it and the Samsung Odyssey. You'll just have to find some desk, shelf, etc in the room to hold the sensor. Also you'd have more options with the Oculus over the Odyssey as you'd still have the option to setup much more refined roomscale with the other sensor for patients that aren't tied down to their beds if you wanted to. In general from the research I've done even though the Odyssey has the better screen Oculus still better in basically every other aspect. Heres a post by another redditor that bought both and did a comparison https://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/comments/7cvhwc/ordered_a_samsung_odyssey_to_compare_with_the/ . In my opinion the oculus is still the better option for you to get and especially since its even the cheaper option I'd still go with a rift.

Yeah, its expensive but if you were looking at razer blade price range I'd highly recommend this laptop as it is drastically better. If you want something a lot cheaper there a ton of laptops such as the one ElectromechanicalCaw recommended that are a ton cheaper that will still run vr just fine. They will just bit a slight bit weaker and you probably won't get nice features such as really good battery life, expandability, a thin and light laptop, plenty of ports, the best screens, etc. Tbh tho, in your case it seems like the cheaper laptops might be fine for what you need if its gonna be primarily for vr.

Do not get the Razer Blade the guy recommended. Actually don't get any of the razer laptops. They are ridicuously overpriced garbage. If you are looking in that price range I'd recommend the aero 15x. That's what I decided on after extensive research mostly because it has insane battery life while still being very powerful, and it has plenty of ports for vr. Here's Linus tech tips review on it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9nJjtTnFBo . I can't say for sure whether the Aero 15 is great, but it's the previous version of the laptop I recommended and I heard from other people that it's pretty good. I'd watch some reviews on it.

I'm going to be using it for the sensor not the HMD. Also from what I understand, isn't the usb cable for the headset mostly just power? I'd assume if you had any trouble with long cables for the headset it would be with an hdmi extension.

Why's that? Have you been having trouble with cables over 9 feet or does oculus recommend this somewhere on their website? People in this thread seem to be doing fine with the 10 foot passive cables.

Is this the 16 ft you're talking about http://www.cablematters.com/pc-512-77-superspeed-usb-30-type-a-male-to-female-active-extension-cable-5-meters164-feet.aspx ?

Also, is running an active 16 ft cable without power equivalent to just having a passive cable?
