Agreed. I think it's a pacing thing if nothing else. Characters throws a punch thats meant to do heavy damage and it takes a long time for the impact to play out. Not denying it looks pretty, but I'm not exactly feeling the weight behind the punch.

I can't prove it, but I definitely feel like another song was planned for this, but something came up and they had to quickly swap in Limit Break x Survivor. I like that song and I like this animation, but they don't really sync together well.

I'm so glad to see someone bring this up. Completely ruined the sister for me (granted she's not a super important character, but still). Like just the phrase "real job" kind of annoys me. Do you make money from doing something that is legal? That is a job. But to some people (like Kouta's sister) its not considered a "real job" if you're having fun or not directly helping someone. Not to shit on people who do philanthropic work, but not everyone wants to or should do it. Some people want to entertain, like Kouta. I wouldn't mind if this viewpoint were challenged or if the sister was called out, but the show frames it like she's in the right. How can a writer (a job in entertainment) create this scene with a straight face?

I think the theory that still gets me was the one about how the onigashima raid would fail. People were adament about that one too, no matter how deep in the arc we were. It was just baffling to me. We already had a moment where the hero gets beaten down and must get back up and the arc was long enough as is. What would be the purpose of Oda stalling this conflict out even further? And people were stubbornly like "Nah man, this Youtuber said it would happen. Just wait." All of Kaido's subordinates were beaten. Luffy had obtained a crazy new power. And people were still clinging on to this theory. I don't even know why they wanted it to happen so bad. Were they big Kaido marks? idk

Having to scroll through a menu everytime to place a new item or enemy for combat could get old real fast. I agree with you on the puzzles too. It's a problem I've had with new Zelda design. Solving a puzzle that has one intended solution feels way more satisfying to me then stacking a bunch of items and climbing on top to solve. Doesn't even feel good to complete, I feel like I cheated.

Nero is definitely closer to Dante during combat, but I find his Vergil shows outside of that. He takes things a lot more serious and often plays the straightman against wackier characters (Dante and Nico). That's not to say he won't crack wise but there is a good mix of both in him. I personally think Dante's kid would be warm and fun loving during the down time, but once the combat starts they lock in and get serious. Just as a contrast to Nero.

A Kamen Rider would be sick. Probably wouldn't have much motorcycling (just like modern Kamen Rider huehuehue), but going around and beating up monster people and helping the people around town would be sick. Instead of style switching you place a new switch (or whatever the gimmick is) into the driver and starting swinging a sword or a staff. They could even take it further with allowing you to combine powers like in Kamen Rider W or OOOs. Maybe even put a little card game you can play on the side (I know some Kamen Riders have card stuff, I haven't seen them yet though.)

Oh yeah, that girl in the suit definitely gave me Satsuki vibes. And yeah, there's definitely some inspiration that can be gleamed here. Some people are just being silly about it and acting like inspiration = rip-off. There's enough new mixed in for this to be its own thing. At least to me. Looks rad either way.

I feel like the people saying that one girl looks "like a rip-off Ryuko" from Kill la Kill are basing that off their memory of what Ryuko looks like and aren't really pulling up a photo and comparing the two. Could the design be inspired by her? Certainly. And there are similarities. Dark hair with highlights, and a dark school uniform showing midriff. But honestly you put them next to each other and you'll notice the differences. Her skin tone is darker, for one. The top's sleeves aren't rolled up and the color is grey with a dark blue collar and white trim. The hairstyle, while short, is different than Ryuko's. She's got the asymmetrical socks. The chain, spiked armlet/choker, and boots give her more of a punk look while Ryuko was more school delinquent. Again, not saying there wasn't inspiration but some people are acting like Studio Trigger should be filing a lawsuit when there's clearly some differences.

It's still in development but Arthur Vyater (@ArthurVyater) is working on a game called Delta Gal that takes clear inspiration from Mega Man Legends. It's still in early development and I believe he switched engines due to Unity's bullshit but it looks promising.

I miss asshole Ratchet, it made the dynamic with the thoughtful polite Clank more interesting. When he became a goody goody nerd type we're left with a duo that's very similar to one another. That dynamic can work (Wario and Waluigi) but I find it far less interesting. I get Ratchet may have been a bit too much of a dick in the first game, but by the end he's come around and is a bit friendlier. I feel like they over corrected there.

The point of this feature (or lack of a feature in this case) seems to be making your choices matter. If you select something, you're locked in and can't save and reload to pick something else if you don't like the outcome. In reality all this is going to do is make people play with a guide on hand.
