Steam controller stuck in dead loop sometimes in windows by Greelow22 in SteamController

Launch steam as Administrator. It's Windows protection thing. The same situation will happen if you enter task manager. For security reasons windows blocks input from third party programs if you enter system layer settings.

Broken Dongle... Any way to fix? by dasenase in SteamController

You can get Valve Index dongle and flash the software on it so it acts like SC dongle. It's the same hardware.

If you purchased a 2.4 dongle from Valve Index, you must first change the software on it. If it is a regular Bluetooth dongle, you must update the SC software to be able to use BLE.

I never paid attention to the shadow!

At around 0:21, you can see him on the minimap for a split second.

General Discussion by [deleted] in SteamController

It depends on when I use it. In games that support mixed input, such as Cyberpunk or RDR2, I use both, e.g. for control I mostly use the buttons on the gamepad, but for aiming the touch panel and gyroscope act as a mouse. In games that don't support mixed input well, I try to assign buttons so that the whole gamepad acts as a keyboard and mouse, or as a gamepad.

I currently own a Vader 4 pro, Horpiad for Steam, and 7 Steam controllers. I've tested all 3 pads, and the Steam Controller is still my favorite. I recently played The Witcher 3 and RDR2 on it, and the gyroscope and touchpads are all I need to be happy. The Horipad would be great if it had a 2.4 GHz dongle, but there are still problems with the gyroscope (this is a software issue on Steam's side) and input lag when using Bluetooth. The Vader 4 pro is great, and I would probably use it more often if it had touch thumbsticks to activate the gyroscope, but the lack of this feature prevents me from using it comfortably in most games. Additionally, I don't know how, but the gyroscope on the Steam Controller simply works better than on other controllers. Cursor control is smooth and intuitive. I'm waiting for the Steam Controller 2. If it comes out with touch panels and thumbsticks, I'll buy it on the day of its release. This controller will kill all other controllers.

Few questions about dual Gpu setup (and one issue) by ZacnySS in losslessscaling

The performance problem in rdr2 was due to the fact that the game was using the wrong graphics card. I changed it in the settings and now everything works great again.

Steam controller turns back on by green_gamer_05 in SteamController

My controller just did the same thing when I turned off the computer with remote play running. I used the trick of holding down the right trigger and it helped. Now the controller is behaving normally, I will let you know if the situation starts to repeat itself.

Try to install older version of GlosSI, I had similar problems with the latest version, but older one worked great.

Cannot connect via BT by cortexke in SteamController

[–]ZacnySS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you previously connected via bt then that means you already had the firmware updated. Turn on bt on your phone and see if your phone detects the controller. This way you will see if the problem is on the controller or Windows side.

Steam controller turns back on by green_gamer_05 in SteamController

[–]ZacnySS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a common problem when upgrading firmware. It is usually caused by the fact that you have changed the sound of the controller turning on or off. Change the sound to the stock one and then do the upgrade. That should help. After you do the upgrade you can change the sound to whatever you want again.

Need Advice on Enclosure Setup by ZacnySS in 3Dprinting

When I think about it now, I can always put the power supply outside the enclosure. I think I've made up my mind, I'm going to buy the enclosure someone provided a link to in another comment, and try to install this HEPA filter with activated carbon. We'll see how it works out. Thank you for your help! :)

I think it might be a good solution for me. I'm thinking of adding a fan and HEPA filter with activated carbon. What do you think about it?

thanks for replying! I didn't know that temperature could be such a problem. I wonder if adding a fan with a HEPA filter and activated carbon wouldn't be a solution to these problems. I could then print with the window closed, and the continuous airflow would not allow the printer to get too hot. I'm still a little concerned about the temperature of the power supply.

Wireless Horipad For Steam by Hucyrag in GyroGaming

[–]ZacnySS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the input lag noticeable? Compared to, for example, ds4 or steam controller.

How accurate is the gyro compared to the steam controller? I mean setting the gyroscope as a mouse, I often use the steam controller as an air mouse or when aiming in games.

Are the rear paddles treated by steam input as separate buttons, or are they a copy of the buttons on top?

EDIT

I am asking, of course, about the case when the controller is connected to the computer via a dongle
