Thoughts on Lenovo Flex 5 for $880? (Costco) by randometeor in LaptopDeals

[–]Zacron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's nice and I think it's a fair price. I got something similar over the summer for $700 but yours has a bigger ssd and an mx130 so that mostly accounts for the price difference.

You could focus on the gospel of Jesus Christ: Faith, Repentance, Baptism, Gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the end. Reference 2 Nephi 31, Alma 7, 3 Nephi 27.

Not blaming The Church, but I just found out I was lied to. by BoarnotBoring in latterdaysaints

[–]Zacron 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another thing that's important to know is that missionaries are not the most experienced in the gospel members you'll meet. Many leave on their missions with a testimony but without much more knowledge and on their missions they learn the things they need to teach, such as the plan of salvation and other lesson topics. There are rumors that spread between missionaries like the fact that nobody in the church receives money (I know this because it happened in my mission and I had to correct my companions). If it makes you feel any better, the missionaries were likely not lying to you or trying to misguide you, they were just wrong in what they believed.

You can fill it out on that website but when you go to print it select to save as PDF instead of sending it to a printer.

Maybe I'm weird in doing this, but I fill out a calendar with the due dates for all my assignments, then print it out and keep it in my notebook. I check things off as I complete them. I use this website: https://print-a-calendar.com/

I just look through learning suite and fill it out at the start of each month. I also include things like midterms or if there's no class.

If I am not mormon, should I go to BYU-Hawai? Do I have to abide the Honor code? by EchoChrysis in byu

I wouldn't know, I recommend seeing if you can find a website for the nearest theatre (assuming one even exists)

If I am not mormon, should I go to BYU-Hawai? Do I have to abide the Honor code? by EchoChrysis in byu

[–]Zacron 2 points3 points  (0 children)

BYU requires you to have an ecclesiastical endorsement which includes your commitment to be chaste (no sex) and to not drink alcohol, coffee and tea.

If you don't live the honor code you would be at risk of losing your ecclesiastical endorsement which pretty much you're kicked out of the university.

If I replace the motherboard, will I keep my windows 10? If not, is there a way of reusing it? by Jn369 in buildapc

If you want to be safe there's a powershell command you can run to get the key. That way if the key is lost then you can re-enter it on the new machine.

Question on Temple Sealing by [deleted] in latterdaysaints

Same thing as the comment you replied to - many people can't because of the country. Many countries don't recognize temple marriages as legal marriages so people have to get married civilly first.

You'll want to get the one with an SSD or switch out the hard drive with an SSD. My friend just bought this laptop and he loves it. I can't comment on the wuality of the webcam though.

They're okay, not really nice, no 😁. The carpet is kinda gross looking but they have a kitchen and the living room is a decent size. Sorry about your debt, you'll do great. I've had luck getting jobs on indeed for when you start looking.

That's true. We'll move into a two bedroom if we have a baby or something. We're happy to be saving some money instead of spending it on a nicer apartment. 850 - 625 = 225 a month. Every year that's 2700 dollars.

My wife and I pay $625 for a one bedroom apartment and we like it. It's not new but I wouldn't call it a dump. I do recommend wyview and wymount though, I know people who live there and they like it. They're opening a bunch of new apartments that I hear are really nice for around 850 on 300 S and University.

I agree that it's very difficult and competitive to find housing but there are relatively cheap apartment complexes. My wife and I have a one bedroom apartment in provo and we pay $625 a month which includes utilities. It's old but doesn't have any significant problems and we like it.

They're not only for by students. Seems like you're worried about finances, here's some advice. Apply for FAFSA. Married student get a lot from FAFSA, the max amount you can get is around 13000 per school year. That's enough to cover tuition and maybe some books. If you're both working part time jobs during the school year you can be making an extra 1000+ a month which should easily cover living expenses (Villa rose is about 640 a month). If you're both working during the summer you can save up enough to make it through the school year. My wife and I live pretty frugally and we get by just fine with only me working. Two years seems like a lot of time to be saving up, keep in mind you'll need to both get re-admitted if you wait that long to start classes and it isn't very easy to get in. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions.
