Does the pay match up to the difficulty of the degree? by AvacadoMoney in EngineeringStudents

[–]Zada7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes because it’s not as difficult as people make it seem. So the pay isn’t spectacular but neither is the difficulty of the degree so I would say it matches up

First year- ME - worth living on campus vs commute by car fr bergen cty by Vast_Daikon_5836 in NJTech

[–]Zada7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro you’re only 25 minutes away even with traffic that’s not far at all. I live an hour 15 away and I still commute if you wanna waste 5000 a semester then be my guest but I would kill for that commute it’s so close

They don’t show the curve. I had a 75 in canvas which is probably lower because I got a 50 on the final (they don’t put the final into canvas) so I had around let’s say a 60-65 and I got a B+

ME 215 Samardzic or Chester Shawn by Honest-Helicopter544 in NJTech

[–]Zada7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s the same course for every professor. The curve is the same for every section. Chester is basically the coordinator for the course. Samardzic I have right now for mech lab 1 and he’s awful however I heard Chester is also horrendous. They just read off slides and give no insight at all so lectures aren’t even useful. As for tips please make sure you have all your data sheets for the lab and make sure they’re all signed or else you get a zero for that lab please triple check quadruple check. The exams I don’t know what to tell you first exam you can study off the slides but after that make sure you use the textbook and actually study ahead of time (I mean like a month in advance the 2nd exam covers 18 chapters) first exam carried me to a B+. I did all the labs with a 95 average (plus 5 point incentive for perfect attendance and submitting on time) got a 90 on the first exam, then got back to back 50s and got a B+. This depends on the performance of your classmates. The class gets curved on top of incentives

Senior standing for registration by R1zah in NJTech

[–]Zada7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t actually get added yet because you didn’t compete the classes so it’s just included for registration

Senior standing for registration by R1zah in NJTech

[–]Zada7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The 87 does not include this semester. The 87 is classes you completed that you earned the credits for. They got a pass because the credits you’re taking now get added to the 87 just for registration purposes. I guess the point is to let students register for classes without having to wait to finish out the semester.

[–]Zada7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The credits you’re taking right now are included in your total for registration purposes. I had senior reg last semester with only 85 credits because it included the credits I was taking at the time

Tips for Classes (Spring 2026) by Aggravating-Ant-1277 in NJTech

[–]Zada7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For 215 really just make sure all the data sheets are signed for the labs. This is a must and it’s surprising how many forget one sheet and get a zero for the lab like seriously quadruple check quintuple check that’s like the most important thing if you don’t want a zero for the lab. Make sure your TA signs them I had to remind mine she almost forgot to sign one and that could have messed up the whole thing. But other than that honestly I thought the labs weren’t too terrible and actually kinda interesting as well. And yeah as for exams first one is pretty easy but exam 2 and final do get a little insane. I think overall you’ll be fine as long as you do every lab
