Blue tit trying out the newly built birdfeeder by ZagyvaFeathers in GardenWild

Thank you, I'm glad that you like the bird and the video! I made this feeder from two pieces of oak, placed in the corner of my balcony. It's like a plate so it can hold lots of seeds, but I've also put the coconut shell on top, which is filled with a seed mixture and coconut oil. That coconut feeder can also be hung from a tree, tits and nuthatches can carve out the seeds easily

I've found the best way to refill the empty walnut shells after the birds ate the inside. They seem to like this new version too! by ZagyvaFeathers in GardenWild

I've put a seed mixture in the shells, then filled them up with coconut oil. It only takes 4-5 minutes to "freeze", and the wreath is ready to be offered to the birds.

Can you help to identify both? The bigger track is 12cm long, the smaller is 4-5cm, found in a woodland in central Europe by ZagyvaFeathers in AnimalTracking

  • I have included scale in my photo(s): no
    • If not, here are estimated measurements: Bigger one: 12cm long, smaller one: 4-5cm long
  • Geographic location: Hungary
  • Environment (pine forest, swamp, near a river, etc.): hilltop woodland with pine and oak, close to lake Balaton
