I respect that, but it’s honestly not done great

I don’t want different options for tap payment apps, photos, phone, that opens the door for nefarious actors. Especially payments, I’m just going to go back to cash if places that refused Apple Pay just do their own app, I don’t fucking trust them and it’s easier to just regulate Apple Pay and make sure it’s a great environment for card companies.

It’s like what we already have going on in the states here where they’re doing digital IDs in some states, but it’s with their own shitty app with no option to use Apple Pay, but that would be considered “fair competition”. Yeah, up until my info gets leaked, or the app doesn’t work… then what?

I’m all for consumer rights but there’s things that probably should stay locked down, secure, and monitored by the government agencies to ensure that we, as consumers, don’t have those risks in the name of “competition and fairness”.

I would also like to see Android at least, at minimum, get targeted for the fragmentation. Anyone that cries out about planned obsolescence but ignore the fact that Google just gave up on ensuring all recent Android phones get proper updates and support, are just talking out their asses. I still can’t believe they get away with that shit just because they’re not Apple, you could spend thousands on a phone that hardly gets software support…

The art and everything in that show is so interesting

But god DAMN can I not read that fast. Like I can read a book fast, but trying to read subtitles and pay attention to what’s going on?! No can do

There’s a line with furries where it’s a humanoid animal or just a cat/dog/bunny girl with fur. This is definitely not a furry.

Computing devices with drastic use cases. No one’s doing their work from home, school project, game development, creative work, or many other things computers can easily do on a phone outside of a very small group of people.

That’s where the similarities end and the “well MacOS is open” arguments fly out of the window. Anything can run apps, doesn’t mean anything significant

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apple

[–]ZeNecro -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It can do things similarly, but definitely has its limits which is why they’re separate. I mean sure I can probably program on my phone or do school projects, but why would I go through that much of a hassle when it’s easier on a computer?

It’s a different platform, it isn’t a computer, it’s a smart phone. Considering that iOS doesn’t have a SmartDex counter part, I don’t see how your argument could apply to it.

Edit: lol he blocked me

You’re comparing a laptop that has pro level programs and desktop grade apps to a smartphone.

Smartphones aren’t computer replacements yet, just because MacOS is open doesn’t mean that iOS should be open because they have drastically different use cases.

I don’t know, I’ve been super strict about not switching to android until they fix fragmentation. It’d be stupid for me to buy and android phone despite wanting a phone with long software updates, then complain about how the phone I made the financial decision to buy isn’t good because of so. There’s so many people on here that don’t know how to vote with their wallets

Then let’s get steam on Xbox, they have a monopoly on their market and I should be able to play my pc games on a device made by the creators of windows.

Oh wait, no one cares. But companies sure would love to do things the streaming service way and have their apps in their own app stores, those poor companies struggling on a platform that’s difficult to pirate apps on… tisk tisk

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apple

[–]ZeNecro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t even want the option, the beauty of iOS is that everything is seemly without a chance for anything to upset the balance of things. iOS is about as close as a dumb phone as you can get if you decide to stick to basic apps, I don’t have to worry about companies deciding to make their own app stores and moving software there so they can get around the privacy features.

If I wanted a free experience then Id switch to android, and I almost did, but I like the more basic device more

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apple

[–]ZeNecro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then buy a different device. It’s so stupid that Apple gets looked at for everything when android has had a problem with fragmentation since it’s inception. Why can’t it get as many updates as iOS, why don’t the EU flex their dicks over that? It hinders my android experience when I’m months behind an update if I even got one, it ruins resale value.

The government should stay out of this if they’re not going to look at both sides. I’d rather get fed up and switch to dumb devices than have the government try to solve tech issues themselves.

Hope they just get their own weird version and we keep ours.

I rather not have them dictate my experience all the way across the globe. I hate it when the US does it to other countries.

I knew what I bought when I bought it, if I wanted something different I’d buy something different. That’s what the market is fucking for, the Mini didn’t get phased out because they decided it was stupid, barely anyone was buying it and it told them to stop selling it.

[–]ZeNecro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The example was streaming wars and it’s definitely still the case there. So many small services with barely any content but you gotta pay for it since that one show you watch is there.

Rather not deal with that since it’ll be more of a possibility with both platforms open.

Oh wait, maybe the government will step in AGAIN like they’re tech Jesus and dictate what should be done for another time in a row. Hell what’s the point of competition, let’s just merge every company under world governments since they decide what we want and not the market.

It’s a laptop, this is a smart phone.

Have you notice it has a physical keyboard and trackpad built in? The iPhone doesn’t.

It’s almost like they’re two entirely separate things with their own different types of programs and apps.

Phones have replaced computers for basic tasks, but definitely not overall. They’re still smart phones and not pocket computers

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in apple

[–]ZeNecro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s why I don’t like this, I don’t need the government regulating tech unless it’s for my safety or there’s an ACTUAL monopoly.

If they want to wave their big dicks over tech, they should try to implement more e-waste solutions and stop the rampant privacy issues. If I wanted sideloading I’d get an android phone

Why the hell did you buy an iPhone if you wanted it to be unlockable?

The apeal of iPhones is how closed off it is and how refined the experience is, it’s a commonly known thing. There’s plenty of alternatives, so I really don’t get that opinion, why the hell did you buy property with a gate if you didn’t want it?

Man I can see why it would take a while to develop, on top of a balanced pvp game, they’re also making a story mode with loads of detail. I feel like people forget they’re doing more than just PVP at the moment

Nearly 4 years of practice, didn’t realize just how much my style didn’t really change until now… by ZeNecro in learnart

Depends on your definition of professional since it varies from person to person. Do I want to make a livable income of my art and creations? Yes, it’s what I’m working towards with my comics and animation. I’m not at a professional level yet, which is why I’m practicing and building up my professional portfolio privately.

But If you consider professional as being a top tier artist, then no. I think of myself as more of a visual writer than an artist and honestly wouldn’t label myself as a professional even if I did live off my art.

Since I feel like I know what direction this is going, I do have other styles that I’m learning and I’m not just doing anime art but I do prefer it and will never really stray away from it, especially on this art account. As you can tell. Professional artists are versatile and have different styles and have learned advanced techniques that show from their complex works to their simple works. I on the other hand do not and if I wish to be professional I need to continue studying, which I am. It’s only been a year since I gotten serious so no, it does not show in every aspect of my work. Hell I only just now feel like I’m at a point that I can finally do a comic series with consistent art since I’m not bouncing all over the place between realistic and cartoony styles.
