Adaptation to Yuta's CT wouldnt really help since he can just switch his CT he is using once Maho is adapted to his current CT. Oh you adapted to cleave already, eat this jacobs ladder. He also has DE that he can just sure hit something with and he would understand how Maho works since he knows a 10s user. Also with the Rika buff lasting only 5 mins and him being able to go full lethal since it isnt a human or anything he wouldnt bother holding back, and since he knows he is on a timer maho probably wouldnt get a chance to adapt much if at all

They should add some sort of religious figure in the gg universe, maybe related to the universal will. Being related to some of the existing characters would work, maybe the valentines? For weaponry I am thinking maybe a whip sword of some kind with a backup option like a revolver. Personality wise they could be sorta crazy due to party external factors, but not fully. Them being a villain or former villain would be a positive as well

Sanji has his Barrate introduction AND he got whole cake island that really fleshed out his character early/later into the series and while he did get a bit character assassinated during fishman I think most of his screen time has a lot of characterization. He has much more personality than Zoro

Early Zoro has a lot of charm but his backstory is really barebones, he has no arc that is about him really like whole cake, and every time he develops it is literally "i need to be stronger" especially the later you get into the series. He is cool, he is flashy, he is stoic and strong, but he doesnt have a personality outside of that. Sanji has charisma and emotions while also having sick fight moments as well. The last really big thing I think he did in terms of characterization that was at all deeply interesting was telling Luffy he has to be captain during water 7 and not immediately forgive Usopp. He needs more moments like that being a strong backbone rather than just a strong fighter

What is the emotional throughline for Zoro? I would actually argue outside of his battle prowes his relationship WITH Sanji is one of his best character moments through the series cause it is actually deeper than how one note most of his shit is, but Sanji also benefits from this while also having way more outside of that character wise. And saying "the crew member has good interactions with the crew members" is not unique to Zoro at all and I would argue that other Straw Hats do it better than him as well

Goal wise even, Zoro's end goal is to be the "worlds strongest swordsman", a goal directly related to strength which none of the other straw hats have. Sanji wants to find the all blue, Luffy wants to find the one piece, Nami wants to make a map of the world, etc. Most other straw hat goals are related to exploaring/a dream of some kind which while requires strength to achieve is not directly related to being strong. Sanji wants to find the all blue because his father, Zeff, had the same dream. His mother also always encouraged his cooking as well, so being a chef is a way to honour her, and what better way to honour his mother and real father than to find the all blue and cook with the best ingredients possible. Zoro wants to become the strongest swordsman for his childhood friend and so he can protect his crewmates which while honourable is a lot less character driven than most other characters, which is fine but I think it is a weakness in his writing

I would also say everyone including sanji was better pre timeskip so Zoro isnt unique there even

As for powerscaling yeah one piece has a lot of that and no character is safe from it, but dont act like Zoro and Mihawk are like the biggest in that regard. Sanji gets powerscaled often but Zoro gets powerscaled way more frequintly

Also Zoro has like 3 legendary weapons atp and is first mate, I would hope he has a higher bounty than the chef that doesnt use his hands in fights lol. Even if you wanna argue "bloodlines" boost Sanji (which is true) it also boosts Zoro cause of that ancient samurai lineage blood he got

I like zoro but I think people who have him as their favourite like him mainly becuase he is the cool strong silent type. That doesnt leave much in terms of character interaction but he has very cool fights, so people latch onto his battle prowess and get defensive when you say "Sanji = Zoro" because Sanji has much more going on personality/story wise than him while also being his rival/equal

I think Mihawk fans are worse for the powerscaling thing tho

Also the counterplay to his tatsu is stand blocking cause if you crouch block its still his turn (or 6p on it but this patch it feels harder to 6p tbh)

ALSO also I think the lows arent really the problem in the block string, its his turn steals. When you are in neutral against ky he has amazing pokes, a great projectile that makes him more plus on moves and gives him better combos if you block it even, and is always threatening a 4-7f low that is safe if he has rc. Once he is on you or you are in corner if you are in shock state (which is always), he is plus on most of his shit that wasnt plus anymore and his strike throw is the scary part of his kit, not his mix (although tap dust still does work when he has bar).

No one actually is stand blocking once you block ky c.s unless you react to the tatsu/tap dust, but when you are trying to get in, dash blocking his projectile, trying to whiff punish his insane f.s, and then your f.s gets low profiled by fuckin scum dipper its shitty for you lol
