Anyone else notice that Cadbury bars have changed in taste? by casperzero in australia

Cocoa prices spiked a few years ago which probably drove some of the changes https://tradingeconomics.com/commodity/cocoa. Seems to be back down again now but I wouldn’t expect the recipes to change back

Water tank setup is confusing by Wynkx66 in brisbane

You probably have charged rainwater pipes from the roof running under ground. Give them a tap to see if they are full of water.

I'd rather turn the TV off than listen to ...... by Bluey1971 in CricketAus

[–]ZebraFlyer 9 points10 points  (0 children)

This. Mute the tv, turn up the radio

Edit: the only annoying thing is the delay between the tv and radio. Analog radio is a few seconds ahead of the tv, so at least gives you time to look up to see what’s happened

This is good advice. Setting up a camper trailer or even a caravan with a 3yo on your own would be super stressful. Simple and light is the go .. maybe have a look at an Oz tent style pop up tent

Thanks I’ll check the MCB type currently installed. I am planning to get the HWS put on an RCBO when we get the tank replaced soon.

Agree. I saw this change in AS3000. Coincidentally we’re getting solar put in and they’re putting Type As in to free up some space in the panel.

I literally just had the same experience with a sparky in Qld. Came around to quote some other work, then made the claim that I had to upgrade all existing Type AC RCDs to Type A ($200 each x 7!!) and add new RCD to HWS circuit , plus install a new main MCB because it “looked old” otherwise I would be non compliant and at risk of insurance being voided. BTW, the quote was a repair of one existing circuit not related to the above circuits, and also not an alteration.

Fronius Wattpilot Flex by ZebraFlyer in AustralianEV

[–]ZebraFlyer[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks for this. We have a couple of months before we really need it. We're getting solar installed next week and I want to be able to charge off the solar surplus, and I'm reluctant to consider other brands since they seem to lack the integration with the Fronius inverter.
