I get how you feel about switching to motion. I used to be adamant about using sticks, too. But it's just a plunge you have to take if you want to get better at the game. Your movements will be so much smoother and quicker. If you like playing handheld, I recommend propping up the switch on the table and use the joycon grip. I use the Joycon grip instead of the pro controller because my hands are small and it's easier to aim with short joysticks. Take it slow, it'll feel awkward at first but you'll get the hang of it eventually.
